The 1HP Sewage Grinder Pump by Aquastrong, is one serious pump that’s ready to work. With its stainless steel outside and cast iron impeller, it definitely worthy of your consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – The quality feels like it’s made out of some heavy duty, good materials. Combine that with the cast iron and stainless steel and this one should provide a good service life.II. Usability – It’s as easy to install as any I’ve tried. I went with the 1HP with the grinder and this one is strong. It pumps like a champ at 3962GPH and 46ft max head. The cast iron impeller, cuts through everything like it’s melted butter. It’s done a great job at removing any water I’ve thrown its way. The float switch is super handy and has worked without failure.Overall, this is a workhorse of a pump that has performed tremendously for me so far and left me very happy that it’s in my corner every time it’s needed. I would definitely choose it again and consider other products from Aquastrong in the future. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. This sump pump is a real workhorse. Even near the maximum head pumping up 30' it'll maintain a flow rate of about 1700gph...easily enough for most situations. The stainless steel and cast iron construction feels very durable even under constant use. The 2" pipe outlet allows for a very high volume of water assuming that 2" diameter is maintained all the way along the line to the destination. The instructions note that you shouldn't lift the pump by the cord and instead should tie a rope around the handle to lift it. It would have been a nice touch to include a suitable rope, perhaps with some clips that would securely attach to the pump handle. It's not that hard to find your own rope though. Overall it's a solid and powerful sump pump that should work very well in most use cases.
