I used these to treat all of my drinking water on a recent backpacking trip. I found them to be very simple to use, extremely lightweight, effective, and to have very little chlorine taste (I’ve had worse tap water!). I find some of the reviews complaining about the taste to be questionable, or maybe they used the wrong dosage, or are individuals who are extremely sensitive to the taste of chlorine.I also like that this product protects your water from recontamination for up to 24hrs in a closed container.Price per treatment is also very good and this product is made in the EU (Ireland).It can’t kill cryptosporidium on its own, so I use a two step system of filter (platypus QuickDraw), then treatment with aquatabs. Peace of mind knowing that my water is safe to drink.

I use these tablets when hiking to clean my water from mountain streams. I fill up my water bottle from the stream, drop a tablet in, shake it up and wait 20 minutes. The water is then ready to drink or use in your cooking. When drinking you get a mild chlorine taste, but not terrible. It’s very mild. If you’re using a powder mix like LMNT or something like that in your water, you wouldn’t taste any difference. Highly recommend for hiking or emergencies. Great product.

I carry these as backup to my Sawyer Squeeze water filter. They are compact, lightweight, and have worked well whenever I have used them. In the backcountry is where the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" really applies.

Aún no me veo en una situación en las que tenga que probarlas, pero al menos el empaque me dejó satisfecho pues están individualmente bien empacadas, asà que espero no ir a tener problemas con ellas en una emergencia.
