Worked for a good replacement. Supplied screws were to small and o user the old one and modified the resistor holes.

Awesome product and works perfectly. However, the bolts provided were to small to install on my 1945 2N. I ended up expanding the mounting holes and putting different bolts in. That’s no fault to the product. It works exactly how it should

This is the one you want to use on your 8N, 9N Ford tractor. Works great with my 12 volt system. Good match.

Mounting holes don't line up. The screws are smaller than the OEM and are metric. The OEM size is a 5/16 SAE. My application is for a Ford 2N. In order to make it work, you have to redrill and widen the mounting holes. You also have to countersink the holes. In the end I removed the new resistor and mounted it on my old original block and used my old screws. I also had to re-crimp the one end of the resistor because it wasn't making contact with the wire coil. Do your research. Some sellers note that the screws that come with their product are 5/16. Might have better luck with theirs.
