Arlington's non-metallic, Low Voltage Mounting Brackets are the time and money-saving solution for faster and easier mounting of Class 2 communications, computer and cable TV wiring. This bracket is for New Construction designed to screw directly to the stud. Its a lower cost than extension rings or mud rings. It comes ready to install, with nails parked in place. IT allows wall plate to mount flush with the wall surface. Also it is UL/CSA listed. Arlington fittings are carefully inspected and our manufacturing process is designed to prevent the possibility of a defective product leaving our plant.

Works just like advertised, great for new construction. It is intended to be attached to the stud, don't buy this if your looking to add after drywall is up. I chose the Screw-On mounting for tight locations where I couldn't get a hammer in to attach to stud.

This does not appear to be standard height for a 3-gang low voltage box. I purchased it for use with a Sewell Direct SW-29609 7 Speaker, 1 Subwoofer, 1 HDMI Wall Plate, 3-Gang wall plate and it did not fit. The screws for the wall plate are nearly 1/2" taller than this box. I ended up purchasing a low voltage 3-gang box at local hardware store.

One of few 3-gang LV boxes I could find. The part I received came in with one mounting hole missing. Sadly I had already mounted it. I've since thrown it away and switched to a 2-gang, 1-gang box setup so the 3rd box can have stronger support for 10-guage speaker wires.Wish someone would make one of these with a metal banding for added strength.

The height of the unit is shorter than standard, therefore, the wallplate I bought with this order does not fit.

Good quality. True to its description. in addition to the screws that attach the bracket into a stud, there are four tabs on the outside corners that allow one to mount into a wood frame quite securely. Not a whole lot I can add to such a basic utility product other that I was very satisfied with its quality.

I ordered this thinking it was going to be flimsy and most likely need the cover plate installed tightly to keep it from flexing (it has screw holes on both sides, but I don't know of too many houses built with wall studs that close together). I didn't see that as a major problem for it's intended purpose, and it is a very reasonable price, so I bought it. Turns out that wasn't the case at all! Once I got the two supplied screws tight, and added two more screws to the tabs, even the third gang is rigid enough to support whatever you might install into it (within reason). Being extra strong normally wouldn't matter with the intended application of this frame, but right now mine is installed in a bare wall I haven't had the time to finish yet, so the unexpected rigidity is greatly appreciated. I will definitely buy another one if the need arises.

Some brackets have screws missing. Wasn't worth ordering online because I still need to go to store to get screws. Poor QA.
