They really do work. It's kind of amazing and magical. Sometimes baby gets gassy and they're not quite helpful enough, though because the gas is further up in their system. Desperate parents will absolutely get some value out of it.The reason for the mid-level review was our pediatrician gave us a warning that these products really shouldn't be used. They can cause damage if you're not cleaning before inserting (theyre not shipped in sterile packaging or give any encouragement that the manufacturing process includes sterilization...) or if you're too forceful or make a mistake. It's an area that's full of blood vessels and very delicate. Doc advised to skip this altogether and use gas drops or massage techniques on their belly instead because those come with minimal risks unlike this.And desperate parents: your baby WILL outgrow this gassy phase. It peaks at like 4mo and as babies get more active, they work their own gas out. So if you have the ability to put up with some crying and fussing, save yourself the money and anxiety of using this product.
