I am in love with this steamer. I've only used it to make steamed buns so far but it's done exactly what I needed it to. It's not heavy, takes up about the same space as a full size rice cooker but oblong. The timer is a simple twist and set kind. It doesn't have a very long cord so you'll need it to be closer to the outlet. I highly recommend getting one if you don't want to use the big stove or pull out the heavy crockpot or instapot.
