ARRIS premium quality carbon fibre rods manufactured using 100% high-strength carbon fibre reinforcement and epoxy resin with a smooth, glossy, cosmetic quality carbon fibre finish on both sides.

- Lightweight : Carbon fiber is 5 times lighter than steel (ASTM-A1008) and almost 2 times lighter than aluminum when comparing similar sized pieces.
- High Strength & Stiffness : Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) has the highest specific strength and modulus (stiffness) per density compared to metal, plastic and wood.
- Low Thermal Expansion: When metal is exposed to heat, it will expand and weaken which can cause issues and possible failure of the part. Carbon fiber has low thermal expansion.
- Low Thermal Conductivity: Metal acts as a conductor, aluminum more than steel, which can transmit or radiate heat to its surroundings and cause heat soak. Carbon fiber has low thermal conductivity.
- RF Shielding: Carbon Fiber works well to attenuate, or block radio frequency waves, protecting your devices from scanners or people trying to access your data.

Extremely useful if you like small rc aircraft I found myself using all of them in the package I really like it's stiffness for it's size and used them all up quickly. I customized full span ailerons on one plane with these and they match the oem carbon fiber rods perfectly on 400mm rc warbirds!

Overall they seem to be good quality with a consistent overall diameter. The rods are smooth and nicely finished with even ends.

I used these to repair fragil removable window munitins. Cut a grove in broken wood, then glue these in place makes the member stronger than original.

I use these carbon fiber sticks in every guitar I build. They just make my machining chores extremely stable without wood flexing and distorting through multiple machining operations in a CNC. Work holding vacuum stays far more consistent with customer reports of my b3 guitar stays in tune amazingly well, no dead spots, excelled harmonic content. Just use a quality epoxy like West Systems with it.Only reason I did not give it a 5 star is that it’s coming in under .250 1/4 inch and not the larger 6mm but that doesn’t matter to me.

I use these rods as sacrificial anodes to clean my metal detecting finds. Way safer than stainless and they easily wipe clean! Perfect!

Allowing for the (general) issue of avoiding the dust from machining/cutting, these rods fit the bill for our application, namely adapting a new motor to an old device. We couldn't find motors with the shaft length we needed so we used this material to do it. Was a snap to do - even cutting a "D" flat in the shaft was easy using just a drill press, milling cutter, and small milling vise. Cut like butter and yet strong. Glad we choose this material.
