Don't let the small size, not corded, and uses a thinner staple fool you. I was SHOCKED how powerful it is. Makes it's easy to use. The thinner staples are more than strong enough.

While this product would have fit our needs perfectly (light weight, cordless, rechargeable) and uses the staples we already have been using it came absolutely useless. Initially when removing from the package, I could see that it felt well-made even though it was light weight. I immediately turned it on to see if it worked. It made a weird thud when attempting to staple a single piece of paper and the indicator light on it flashed red. I thought nothing of it and assumed it needed to be charged. Six hours later, it shows a green light when plugged in. I would assume this means it is fully charged. Attempted to staple ONE SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER using the anvil attachment. Green light immediately turns to red and NOTHING HAPPENS. Not a sound, not a clunk, nothing. I have the proper sized JT21 staples. The staple drawer is shut completely. There are no jams in the staple aperture. The battery is fully charged. This is just a worthless heap of cheap plastic now. Thanks for nothing.UPDATE: 24 hours of charging later... the indicator light is green. Turning the staplegun on and pulling the trigger while it is pressed on cardboard does nothing; neither does stapling with cheap plastic anvil. The green light immediately turns to red, seemingly to indicate the battery is bad. So far, this stapler hasn't stapled a single staple.

Light weight, easy to use .My wife has arthritis in her hands so a standard hand squeezed staple gun wasn't an option. This staple gun has given her a reason to get back to crafting.The only negative that I will mention is the fact it doesn't work with standard size staples and the box of Staples that does fitted was quite expensive around 8 and 1/2 dollars for the one small box but still worth it

Staples secured materials as it should. No problems with staples bending before securing what's being stapled.

Bought this to recover dining room chairs. It wasn't strong enough to get through folded fabric and the chair seat and the gauge of staple is much thinner than a standard manual stapler. It did work on softer wood elsewhere. So, useful but don't expect too much.
