We've been using these glue guns for years in an industrial application. Other than some leaking over time, they are absolutely great. There are some that have been used on a daily basis for over 2 years and still working. Great product in my opinion.

This is a good tool for a basic tool collection everybody should own. With good glue sticks its very versatile and useful. I might not fit professional needs but for occasional use its a good product for a good price. It's not a professional tool anyway so no need to give it a bad rating because of that. I give it four stars because the stand is a little design flaw. It's simply too small to keep the gun upright. Any small piece of wood or folded cardboard is doing a better job.

This is my 3rd glue gun and I will be sticking with this type from now on.Firstly for people getting drips lay your gun on its side. I would assume gravity and the wide nozzle are the biggest factors. To get less drips you would have to trade for less continuous flow because they would have to either dial down the nozzle tip, or the heat/glue viscosity. The long caulk gun style trigger is also something that I like.I do a good bit of hot gluing and the small triggers tend to get on my nerves. The smaller surface area my old one pressed right into the crease of my pointer finger and was kind of annoying after extended sessions.I wanted a high flow high heat gun, and I have a work area so if it ever starts to drip (not happening so far) then it wont be a problem. For 14$ I couldn't be happier.

Good value. Needed a glue gun for larger jobs. Works well for that purpose. Heats quickly and was able to continuously put out large amounts of glue. Comfortable to use for extended periods of time.

I bought mine over a year ago and barely used it today for the first time for a Halloween project. It works as do others, but, and this is a BIG BUT. It is very unstable. You can use it and very careful setting it on the table but a slight move will cause it to fall. The stand/ glue catcher, I thought it was nice at first but after i started using the gun. I hated it every time I picked up the gun. You constantly have to move it back out the way when you are gonna glue and put it back when you are gonna set it down. Last but not least, it drips a lot of glue I had so much glue on my table from it tipping over constantly and on the kick stand/ glue catcher i had blobs of harden glue on there as well and it was hard to pry out. It did ruin part of my project which i had to redo because of the constant glue drip. It's a nice looking gun, but the quality isn't there. Just wished I had used it when I bought it so I would be able to return it.

I have a love/hate relationship with this glue gun. I like that it heats up more quickly than the other ones I've tried and it has a finer nozzle so I can get a thinner line of glue than with other ones. What I really love though is that it is very comfortable to use. I tried Surebonder, Stanley, and Adhesive Tech guns and they were always harder for me to squeeze than this one and since I sometimes use this all day long, that is a major consideration for me.What I don't like is that they always end up dripping after a while. Looking back at my orders, I've gone as little as 6 months and also nearly 3 years before it starts dripping. I don't mean an occasional drip which I have gotten with every glue gun, but a fairly constant drip that creates a 2 inch Devil's Tower. And as for the stand, I have a glue gun holder so that is not an issue for me. (Which is why I can get a 2" high stack of glue in case you were wondering.) I think I would go nuts if I had to use the stand though, constantly flipping it back and forth.I have thought about trying an expensive, more professional glue gun, but I hesitate because I may end up with an 80 dollar drippy glue gun or one that is uncomfortable to use for hours..

I use this glue gun most every day in my shop and it holds up to a lot of use daily. It warms up quickly and is easy to use.

Had a few cheap hot glue guns small and large all bought from a DIY superstore. Forget those. This is a real hot glue gun. Made in the USA but with UK spec plug and voltage (dual spec in the instructions in English, Spanish and French are for both the USA Canada version 120Volt TR550 as well as UK, 230Volt TR550ML) .I am using the ARRBAP5 Arrow branded glue sticks and they are just what you want with this gun. Interesting the 24x stick packet says they were 4" (10cm) long, 1/2" (12mm) dia. I guess they are standard sticks we all know as 11mm. Anyway they are a perfect fit as you would expect. Do be aware that no sticks come with the gun and it takes two 4" to prime a new gun (actually one full stick with a second to push in about another half length and you are away. its 100w (i measured about 60W on warmup and about 20W idle) and takes no more than 5 mins to heat up and the glue flows cleanly, with a degree of control I have not experienced before. Little dots (beads) or continuous waves (snake) it does them both easily without a stingy mess. The nozzle is metal and is at the full melting temperature so be careful what you touch. It does not drip significantly when left on and waiting, at least so far. Prevous all-plastic guns I have used have continued too ooze from the tip if left standing. The TR550 claims to have a ball bearing to prevent what it calls over-run. If that's what I call oozing then it seems to work. Looks like the nozzel might detach (unscrew) as it has a Hex shape at its base and the instructions refer to an interchangeable nozzle but without details as to how or why. You only get one and I have not found if you can buy spares. Cannot see ever having the need to replace it anyway. As for build quality It's like others have said, it feels like it is made to last. It feels and behaves like a professional tool that would perhaps survive in a commercial workflow situation like sealing lots of cardboard boxes.Minor quibbles are it would have been good to have a glowing ON indicator so you can see you have left it on and a slightly wider spread on the legs of the folding safety stand as it is very easy to topple over. They use the word safety stand on the packaging but to me if it is for safety then something a bit more substantial is called for. The stand is possiblly the flimsiest part: a metal one would have been better perhaps with a loop so you could hang it off a hook but it is made with a forward "spoon" area which I guess is either to intercept any drips or to protect the work surface from the hot metal tip. It does not drip anyway. What are you doing still reading this? Just buy it and shoot some glue.
