Clean Your Power and Protect Your Gear If you’re working out of a home studio or gigging in a local bar or club, chances are you’re dealing with dirty power. At Sweetwater, we know, ’cause we’ve been there! Not only does it drag down your audio quality — adding annoying hum, crackles, and hiss, when you plug into an unreliable power source you risk subjecting your prized gear to nasty spikes and surges that can do permanent damage. Protect your gear and get clean, noise-free power with the ART PS4x4 Dual Metered Power Distribution System. This solidly built, all-steel 1U rackmount unit gives you eight power outlets, four of which are spaced for wall wart adapters and extra-wide plugs. The ART PS4x4 has a total power capacity of 1800 watts and includes a 15-amp circuit breaker on the front panel. Two front-panel backlit linear meters display input voltage and load

There are other units that are far more expensive. I now own three of these, and they work great for me. Be aware that the bulbs on the dimmer lights can burn out fast, probably due to the heat of being in a tube. Get extras (7w nightlight - candelabra base - works).

The power supply part is great and the lights are handy but the amp meter never worked right out of the box. I guess this is quite common. I'm still waiting to hear from ART about a warranty repair. I suggest you save you money and get the one without the meters. These are the old style anyway. They went digital with the new ones.

Love this. Working well, lights are good, meters are probably NOT a necessity for me but look cool. Seems very well built and no complaints at all here!!

over price surge protector-???????meter lamps failed soon after purchased, also the meters are for make believe world.Buy a rack mounted UPS a real UPS that your system gets tru sinewave power from the bat side while house supplied power charges batteries.then surge, load power , everything you need is Clean! Don't pretend its good and hope it works

I love the looks of it because it matches the rest of ART products I have installed in rack. Wish the VU light was dim-able. However a week ago the VU light just went out and now the load current meter is jumping around. Unit is getting sent in for repairs and will see how that goes. I'm disappointed to the fact that the ART VLA and MPA have been used solid for two years and minus some tube swaps, have been running fine.

This is a very nice unit. I've been using a Furmann with a voltage meter on it for years, and an outboard amp-draw meter (a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter), when I found this ART unit, the advantage far outweighed the disadvantage (advantage: It's got everything I'm using now in a single unit. disadvantage: It's a 15A max unit, it'd be perfect if it was a 20A system). Highly recommended!

Just when i open the box, the case looks old and when i plug it in, the Left dimmer doesnt work.... Oh dont forget to buy the cable for connection coz this type requires its own cable. i cant even test the load current coz i dnt have the cable to connect to..
