I took this item apart and used the peppers for a costume. Was afraid they would be hollow, but they’re like plastic coated foam which was ideal for my assembly. Prior to taking apart I did hang them in kitchen to see what they were actually meant for. It would be a nice realistic decoration around the kitchen or a tiki bar

I thought I would provide a review and pictures since there weren’t any when I purchased this. It’s a decent product for $10, but it’s certainly not high quality. You can see in the pictures that it has a few defects and is cheaply made on certain parts. The peppers seem to be made from styrofoam and are super lightweight so it's easy to hang. Overall, it was worth the $10 (plus free Prime shipping) for me so I’ll be keeping it, but I can see why others might opt to return it.

Arrived quickly & in good condition. Perfect for my Halloween costume. I was able to pin each chili easily onto my costume. The chilis are light foam, and attached to a small wire. ‘Saved the second string of chilis as decor for a Taco dinner.

I am using peppers for Halloween costume. I bought scrubs made and head cover. I am putting the peppers on scrubs and going as Dr. Pepper.
