Dieser Dämpfer von über 10 € ist weit überteuert! Es ist ein Spritzteil aus Weichplastik (aus Gummi wäre er wahrscheinlich noch teurer). Er ist sehr leicht ( ca. 1,5 Gramm ) und dämpft meine Geige nur wenig. Der wird Ton wird aber sehr rau und unangenehm, so daß ich diesen Dämpfer umgehend in den Müll geworfen habe.

My violin is a good quality modern Gliga Violin, European made with all European tonewoods. It is a bit harsh and too loud for me though. I want a more mellow sound and slightly less volume, which this mute provides. I tried the more ecpensive model with the brass insert but for me it made the violin a little too soft in volume and tone. this Artist version is lighter weight, so produces the perfect balance of volume and a more mellow tone for me. I've bought another one for my other violin as well. Expensive but worth it for me, far better than the Tourte rubber mutes as well.
