They are an adjustable length screw, so made to break to be applicable in varying depths. Oil rubbed bronze: We have had these installed for over a year now and have had zero issues. They are beautiful, maintaining finish, and have them installed everywhere we can in our house, dressers, bathroom vanity, hutch and kitchen. We'll worth the money. We love them.

I got the colour that was called either 'brushed nickel' or 'brushed silver'. Here is how it looks on a dark stain. Handles seem to be of excellent quality. Classic style handle.
