I was hoping to mount this the Highlander, but it worked better on the GLK due to the positioning of the cross bars. This is a well made and great quality overhead storage. We travelled 5.5 hours in rain storm from the East Bay California to Rogue Valley, Oregon! Large capacity. It was easy to install and kept everything dry and in tact. You will lose gas mileage but it’s not too bad! Saves you money over renting a mini U-Haul.

I recently purchased this for our move. I looked at a couple different options, and after reading reviews decided to go with this one. The first benefit was that it was a decent price. I didn't necessarily want to just go with the cheapest option, but also knew I could find something that was durable without being too expensive. The only complaint I have is that the instructions were a bit vague. We opted to set the bag directly on the roof of our car and attach the straps to the vertical bars. When it was time to attach the straps it took a while of both my husband and myself looking at the images and reading the instruction to figure out the right way to do it. But, once we had it figured out it was easy to attach. Our trip was 2 days and 12 hours of driving total. In that time we drove through rain, snow, and high wind warnings, (driving speeds ranged from 35 through towns to 80+ on the Interstate.).At the end of our trip I was very pleased with how it held up. No water leaked into the bag. It didn't slide or budge. The biggest thing we were excited for was the lack of noise from the straps! It does come with a bag to store it in, which is also nice.Overall, I would give this roof top bag 4.5 (because the instructions could be more specific) and I would absolutely recommend this for any trip that you need more storage. We will be using it on our next trip!

I bought this to put on top of my Mazda for a drive from Colorado to Arkansas. It packed pretty much all of my soft items on top of my car. It was incredibly easy to install and held so much. It basically held everything I could hold inside of my car and doubled the space by adding space on top of my car. It is incredibly thick and we even drove through rain/hail and it held up and I had no worries. I liked that it came with the lock so that I felt comfortable leaving the stuff on top of my car when we stayed at a hotel overnight.

My only regret is not buying a even larger one or two of them. I wish it was a little bit more aerodynamic in the picture. It looks like it slopes in the front, but I think it only could do that if you have a smaller suitcase if you have all the same size suitcases then no. I was able to put one extra large suitcase, which is the whole width of the unit and two large suitcases so a total three, which is great.

We went on a ten day road trip. Everything stayed dry. The straps seemed fine except the clips are plastic and one of them broke on the very first day. Since we didn't use the bag until after the return window, we are now stuck with a defective bag. I honestly think the bag is a good buy but we can't even return it to try it again. Because we would be willing to try a replacement.

This was great for price. Very durable kept all stuff dry. I would buy again and recommend it. Not so easy to fold in cold weather but that is ok. Zipper was very durable.

We took this on our trip to California and it performed great. Instructions are kind of unhelpful but we figured it out in the end. The corner buckles come cinched together all the way and we thought you had to tie them. No no. Just pull the bottom of the buckle further towards the tail of the strap and then hook them around your rooftop rack and then buckle and cinch. The middle ones weren’t cinched up when we opened it up so it wasn’t clear the corner ones had to be uncinched. It held up great on our trip. We even got rained on and it was no problem. Fit about two large suitcases and three carry on sizes comfortably.
