My friend convinced me to get one of these. He has this same model and brought it over one day when he needed me to load test the battery and alternator in his daughter's car. The car would not restart when he turned it off. The short of the story is we figured out it was the battery. When he needed to jump start the car to go get a battery, he pulled out this Astro AI S8 jump starter and it started the car with no problems. It was very easy to use. So I got myself one after he walked me through how to use his. Highly recommend.I think the biggest upside to this is never needing to stress your own car battery to start someone else's car.

The day it arrived I charged it with my MacBook Pro USB-c charger for less than an hour until fully charged. An hour later my car would not start. I hooked ip up (VERY easy and SAFE), let it charge for 2-3 min, and the car started as soon as I pushed the start button. Charger showed it had dropped from 5 to 3 bars, which I assume means it is good for two starts before needing a recharge, but it is a tiny little device (as compared to long jumper cables and a 12 volt car battery), and since most cars today include USB outlets I suspect it can be charged while driving. It takes little room to keep in trunk and could be a lifesaver--for me or just helping another driver. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It appears to be a good sturdy unit. But the proof will be if it jumps my bike. I do see that the cables are a bit short, ok if working on a car, but motorcycle batteries are a different breed. So, for now I give it a 4 based on these comments.

This little charger packs a punch for the price. Works well. The jumper cables are a bit short but they work well for my application. Highly recommend this product. Similar name brand products are 4 or 5 times as expensive. Even if this tool last half as long as those do, it’s still a great value for the versatility.

At first I was ready to return it because it didn't work for me. Truth is my battery was bad a lnd not just dead. I bought a new battery which was also completely dead when I brought it home, I decided to try the Jumper again. The trick is to leave it on for a couple minutes even hit the boost button. Started it right up. It's great. Very light weight and compact. Most have!

The battery charger came quickly and was well packaged. I had occasion to use it on a dead battery shortly after receiving my order and it was easy to use and worked great. I particularly like that it has a battery pack which means that you don’t need to have access to an electrical outlet in order to use the charger. This makes the charger portable and usable wherever you encounter a battery problem. It’s compact and easy to use.

Producto de excelente calidad, cumple muy bien su función, la baterÃa de mi auto estaba totalmente muerta y con el Boost mode pude encenderla, te saca del apuro si lo que buscas es encender el motor, pero no carga la baterÃa de tu auto, para ello tendrÃas ya que manejarlo y que se recargue el nivel

I got it to help jumpstart my VW PASSAT V6 as the battery was completely drained while the car was parked for ~ 2 months. The unit was at 50% battery when received. The manual is great, simple and straight forward. I followed the instructions in the manual. It took approx. 1 hour to charge it via my phone's USB-C fast charger up to 100%. It took 2 attempts to start the car. The 2nd attempt was because I didn't wait the 30 seconds as per the manual's instruction in handling completely drained batteries in my 1st attempt. On the 2nd attempt, I followed the instructions for completely drained batteries and the car started smoothly. Both attempts used ~25% of the booster battery capacity. Over all, the package is great in size and weight. I like the idea it came with a small bag to house the booster and cables. The booster uses USB-C for charging. No more jump start cable hassle and no more waiting forever for insurance recovery.
