The filter screws in like it should and gives a blue tint while muting some of the brightness of the moon.

The filter appears to be used. It had a finger print on it, and the box was covered in scotch tape, or some kind of clear packing tape. I had to use goo gone to get rid of all the gum left behind. I cleaned off the finger print, but the blue tint is also much darker than I anticipated. All this after my first order never arrived and was later cancelled saying they couldn't deliver it for some reason. I need to try and work with it, but I tried to photograph Jupiter tonight with it. It was so blue I couldn't get any of the other colors to show up during post processing. I wound up getting a decent picture without the filter. Sad, as it is specifically designed for use on Jupiter. I wanted a filter that would allow me to get more detail without it being so dark that I can't get a decent picture.

Used it on Jupiter and Saturn last few nights and it does slightly enhance the equatorial regions and helps with viewing GRS. I have a 4” 102mm refractor so understand it would be better with larger aperture. Same for Saturn, did get a glimpse of cassini separation on the outer regions. Very subtle improvements. The filter did not easily screw into a Hyperion zoom eyepiece, though when stacked with another fliter it was fine. Arrived on time and even faster than anticipated. Comes in nice packaging.

Works fine for Jupiter and Saturn, low distortion but you loose definition.

Right out of the box, there was a noticeable speck embedded in the filter that was quite easy to see. I would have expected better, even for an inexpensive filter such as this. I'm going to return this and will purchase a better quality brand.

Improves ability to see planetary outlines. Was able to get a better view of saturns ring outline with my XT8 telescope. All planets will appear blue.
