I have a Canon T6 with a Celestron 8XLT telescope, and trying to get picures of the moon. I could never get the telescope lens to focus with the camera. I finally found on a forum that I might need to extend the back focus (distance between the camera and the scope) so I tried this kit. It worked perfectly. Now I can focus the telescope and get someowhat decent pictures. There is still some fine tuining but I am a lot farther ahead than I was without it.

My initial impression is that these feel very sturdy. They screw together well and fit perfectly.

These work fine. But there are no marking on the tubes. Recommend that they add markings to the outside to clearly label each tube's size.

Well made, very solid. Easily holds the weight of the camera. Perfect for use as a tele-extender for my Celestron 127. Fits perfectly on the threads of the combo 1.25/t-thread visual back that comes with the 22097. The eyepieces that came with the scope fit neatly inside the extender tube. The variable length allows use as prime focus or projection and allows you to pick your focal ratio. Just add a t-ring for your camera. Much better than the Celestron 93643 at half the price.

This is a great set, far cheaper than buying the extensions individually. The threads are smooth and the matte-black finish keeps any glare to a minimum. I bought it primarily to use the 5mm extension for needed back focus on my imager, but found the combination of the larger tubes serves well to make my DSLR spacing nearly par-focal with my diagonal; now I can focus through the eyepiece with diagonal, then attach the camera and be nearly in focus immediately. This quality set is cheaper than some individual rings from other providers, so it's a no-brainer for me.

After seeing and reading so many horror stories with other extension tubes being offered on Amazon, I opted for the Astromania extenders as they had the highest satisfaction rating. Add me to the list of satisfied recipients. They're stout, well finished, and the threading is flawless and easily assembles/disassembles in any stack up.

This is actually my second set of these. For those of you who do astrophotography, you can often be faced with some challenging back focal distances to achieve a truly flat field when taking photos. I have focal reducers with back focal lengths from 55mm to 105mm. The 55mm one can be challenging when using certain DLSR cameras which is why I like this set. The 8mm and 15mm extenders come in handy more than you would imagine. They work well. My first set has held up over 1 years regular use and I added this set to give some additional options when shooting with 2 rigs.I highly recommend you give them a try. I just wish they were a bit less expensive, but given the price of other astrophotography gear these are a bit of a bargain I guess.

These fit the bill so I was able to attain the proper back focus for my planetary camera. My only complaint, and its a very minor one, is they are thin. I guess that's not a bad thing as it reduces weight, however, in my case, I used these in combination with a 48mm filter drawer and a m42-m48 adapter. Because the tubes are the same width as the adapter, there's no lip, making it impossible to tighten the tube to the surface of the filter drawer (it will screw in continually until it contacts the filter itself). Not a show stopper by any means, just had to get creative with the order in which I attached them.
