I like to put sticky note tabs on the side of the appropriate filler pages for deadlines, appointments, meetings, etc. Then I can see ahead at a glance for more crowded or less crowded times.

I bought this desk calendar in yet another effort to get my act together. We are at the end of January and, so far, it's working. I ordered it because, back when my life was less complicated, this was the type of calendar we used at work. It's design is simple and flexible. You have a double page spread for each day. The left is broken up by time slots, the right is open space for writing long notes and has a square on top that shows the whole month by days of the week. You keep the base from year to year and just order and install the refill.The success of the calendar depends on you making a point of checking it at the start of each day and looking forward a few pages to see what is pending in the immediate future. This was easy to do when I worked, had a regular schedule, and had to sit at a desk. Now that I'm retired and none of the above applies, it requires discipline to stay organized and so far, so good. If I fail, it certainly isn't because of the calendar's design or quality.

By golly, this thingy does exactly as it is supposed to do. It holds the calendar and allows you to turn the page daily to see what's in store for the next day. If I ever break this one, I'll buy another one. I mean it! I'll get another!

Works very well with calendar refill pages. Was easy to install calendar pages and seems sturdy enough to last for several years.

The quality of the paper this is printed on is not great. It's very thin, which makes it hard to turn the pages, which pretty much defeats the purpose. I would have returned it but I already wrote on several pages, not seeing immediately that it doesn't start til 2022. No, I wasn't trying to beat the rush, 4 months early. I actually wanted to use it, now.

Seems a bit flimsy compared to the Desk calendar base that I have used for years but hopefully it will last. Looks good.
