ATP Speedometer cables are designed to fit and function just like the original part to ensure durability and long life.

This speedo cable is made well, and fit like it was 1966 all over again. My 57 yr old cable end broke off when reconnected to the Speedo. After much shopping I decided to give this one a try. I did lube the internal cable before I installed it. I’ll never know if it will last another 57 years or not! The speedo needle does not bounce any longer either. Good buy.

Didn’t last 10 miles and cable snapped. Typical Chinese junk

I put a 1963 Ford Fairlane engine and Ford-o-matic transmission into a 1951 Ford F1 pick up. This cable fit perfectly. I also ordered the speedometer gears from a different seller and will adjust those as needed.

Cable leaks oil at trans end where the fitting is crimped to the outer sheath. Made a mess. Also does not include the required O-ring.

for some reason, i had to grind off about 1/4 inch of the cable on the speedo end. would have thought that would not be required.

Needed a replacement cable for my 1972 gord maverick with a C4 3 speed transmission. Originally I used an adapter to plug into aftermarket speedometer but it started clicking. This worked great.

I love it and it fits perfect, the reason for 4 stars is that it doesnt come with the O ring

As another reviewer stated (who I should have listened to!) the braided steel core of this is too long compared to the original speedometer cable in my '65 Mustang with a C4 transmission. I had to cut it shorter at the transmission end (if you leave it longer you won't be able to thread the cable into the speedometer). The problem is trying to cut it cleanly enough to be able to slide the plastic speedometer gear on, one loose wire and it is impossible to slide the plastic gear on. For what should have be an easy job took far too long because of this.In hindsight I should have bought a better quality cable from a proper mustang parts supplier for only a few dollars more. The only upside: other reviews mentioned that the o-ring wasn't included. The cable I received did have the o-ring so I didn't need to reuse my old one.

Installed and works fine, no modifications needed, well worth the cost. 3 star reasons: the casing is about 4" longer then OEM and no O ring, routing altered for the longer length + I reused the O ring off the old cable.. Great for a driver but not a concours quality. (65 Mustang Coupe).
