How to Use

1. Open the radiator cap. Before open it, make sure it’s cooling state.

2. Choose applicable cap adaptor for vehicle.

3. Fasten the radiator opening meanwhile check if the gasket is applicable.

4. Insert the joint into adaptor.

5. Take out the hand held pump, pressurize to about 15PSI-20PSI.

6. Check pressure gauge:

(1) If the gauge pointer maintain in several minutes, the system is normal to work;

(2) if the pointer drops, the system has crack due to pressure damage, you should maintain it and make sure the system can still work after the maintenance.

7. After the check, release pressure from decompression valve till the gauge return to zero.

8. Before you collecting tools: (1) Insert the adaptor into joint, pressurize a few times, expel residual water and air in the hand held pump, then you can collect; (2) Inject gas into the tail air inlet of the hand held pump, lubricate the piston of the tube. Then insert adaptor into joint, pressurize a few times, expel residual gas in the hand held pump, then collect the tools.

This pressure test kit works as designed. it comes with lots of caps which should fit almost any car.My problem was not with the kit.( no problem before I replaced inlet tube) I had replaced the water inlet tube and 2 days later the Radiator started leaking at the top.so I replaced the Radiator.( Radiator was 1 year old) So after driving 50 to 100 miles the Radiator was always 6 to 8 oz low. but I could find no leaks. I pressure tested the whole system with the kit and it held perfect pressure for over 30 min at 15 psi. NO LEAKS. so I realized after replacing the water inlet tube I had to replace the antifreeze. MEANING I had the Radiator cap off and on a few times. I suspect the Radiator CAP . OVER PRESSURED THE Radiator and made it leak. and after replacing the Radiator it does not suck the water back in after cooling. and I purchased the leak kit for $ 61.00 dollars and the new Radiator $76.00 and 2 gallons of extra antifreeze for $ 25.00 and what I should have done was replace the cap !! thats also why the RAD had been replaced2 other times for leaks ! GOOD GREEF .. 1 last thing. I did buy a OEM Cap.

I was going to use it on my 2006 Equinox . But none of the fitings â€¦ fit my vehicle. Every single part was up to the taskâ€¦but none of them would work. Quality and variety were there.

Would have given 5 stars but it's a little finicky when keeping pressure at a certain PSI. If the hose is a little off center, it releases. However, if you have it dead center, it will hold pressure. Still a good value for what I paid for it.

This is a great tool for the price! It worked well and helped me find a small coolant leak quickly. It comes with a wide array of adapters. It had what I need to test a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and 2015 Subaru Forester. There are definitely higher quality pressure testers out there but at this price this tool is a great option. It will be handy to have in a DIY garage.

The plugs don't seal, and you can't put pressure on the system because the air leaks through the plugs

They need to list what all the adapters will fit. The kit says the #6 adapter will work for Land Rover. None of them worked on my 2002 Discovery. Too bad.
