I have a toy xylophone that needed a "mallet" and found these. They are sturdy for what they are (thin handles will obviously break if abused) and produce a nice tone. I also have other rhythm instruments that have lost their various sticks, strikers, and mallets over the years, so these will help with that, too.

Some children do not understand their own strength. So when they don’t flex their wrist to allow movement when they strike, they frequently break their mallets. It’s so nice to have an extra supply on hand.

The first day I took these to my 2 - 3 year old classroom they broke 2 of them in half. In about a month I have gone through 6 of them. They bend and break pretty easily but it comes with 10 so it works for a while for me using 2 at a time.
