Really nice mats, but not true black. I bought these for mounting mini illustrations. The subject was illustrated in black ink, which made the lack of black on the mat glaring. I think they would be perfect for black and white photography or other art that's not necessarily black black.

We had to mount pictures to turn in to a contest. These boards worked perfectly. They were shipped nicely so there was no damage.

Nice quality, thick matte board. The edges are cut nicely. The sizing is correct. The order was well packed, no curly or frayed corners or edges. The black is not really deep and does have a bit of a brown tinge but for my use it is not noticeable. (In the 1st photo of the wall divider, the bottom right picture frame doesn't have the shiny plastic protective sheet on it yet.) I am happy with this purchase.

This is just bleached cardboard. Not properly thick and I seriously doubt that it's acid-free. Very ordinary.
