I am a debate coach and one of our events is Congressional debate. One student is elected to run the chamber and they use a gavel. I bought this 4 pack so that my students would have access to a gavel when competing.This gavel is about 3/4 size of a regular gavel, which I actually prefer. The color is a beautiful rosy finish which was a big hit with my female students.3 of the 4 gavels had a lot of glue at the part where the handle meets the head, which is untidy and looks less nice than the one that was finished clean. It isn't enough to dissuade me from repurchasing though should I ever need more.

The product was reasonable quality for the price. The wood was not consistently sanded smooth, and the heads were not securely attached in every case.Further frustrating the experience, ordering multiple packages, each was shipped, and arrived seperately. I received 5 packages over 2 weeks, making for quite some concern for our event.

We purchased this gavel set for our law office; we drilled a hole at the base and attached our lavatory keys when clients need to use our rest rooms. Everyone comments on the clear concept and how nice the gavels are. It was a good choice for our intended purpose!
