I have a very small waist and the waist part was perfect to adjust whatever size. If you are using them for basketball, get a large. Best bet

I ordered two pair of short for my daughter, gym class and my son. When I open the bag they were pretty much see-through. My daughter is a young girl. And it would not be appropriate gym attire.

I got what I paid for. My son definitely needs to wear black briefs under these shorts as they're very thin and see-through if it's anything light underneath.
