I purchased two pairs of these pants at the beginning of the season, despite my boys best efforts he has yet to mess up the material no matter how much he slides. He is a catcher so flexibility is key, also the dirt washes out of them very easily.

I ordered these for my 16 year old ball player. They seemed to be a reasonable value and I thought they'd be good for practices. My son typically wears a more traditional, tailored pant for game days. When these arrived, I was a little shocked at the fit. At first I thought they sent a youth size by mistake but my son informs me this is the "new style," which is somewhere between knickers and full pants. He says he'll wear a sock on top of it. I don't know what this is going to look like in a game, but he seemed excited about it. I think the fit was incredibly tight and the thin material kind of shows every bulge. My son swears this is the style, especially for pitchers right now. I'm going with it, but know these are tight. My son is a thin build and these were skin tight whereas mediums always fit him beautifully. While I wasn't overly pleased, my son the player was, so maybe trust him but consider my warning about fit!
