I didn't want to pay $150 to get the freon replaced in my van. This worked perfectly, got the freon filled up and now the a/c is running cold again. It was easy to connect. Good investment, since I'm sure to have to use it again. Saved me a lot of money! Good investment!

Car needed about 1/2 can of R134. Disconnected the valve after charging and the rest of the can leaked out. Worked to recharge but at $10/can its kind of wasteful. Wish they had added a shut off.

I used this to recharge the AC in my SUV, and it worked perfectly. It was very easy to use and, most importantly, it was compatible with the standard Freon cans that I purchased. I would recommend this for anyone looking to do a DIY AC recharge.

I have had a freon charge hose with gauge for 30 years and it the hose finally got so weather checked, I deemed it unsafe to use. These are hard to find any more, so I tried my luck on Amazon. I'm sure someone builds quality freon charge hose assemblies, but this isn't it. Wow, is this thing cheap. It leaked at the valve/hose connection right off the bat. I closed off the valve and removed it from my vehicle then attempted to snug up the hose fitting. The thread engagement from the brass hose fitting into the valve body is nonexistent and was galled to boot. Needless to say, my attempt to snug up the leaky fitting ruined it beyond repair. I'm so tired of buying cheap junk and throwing money away plus wasted a new can of 134a. I'm a Prime member and will attempt a return but don't waste your money on this hose assembly.

While I preferred my old recharge kit with the needle that punctures the cans ...... this one works nicely with the self sealing cans. I do like my old setup where the gauge and trigger valve screwed onto the can, but the advantage of this setup is when you tip the can upside down and shake it to get it to empty faster, the gauge is more steady and easier to read. Also, the hose is an adequate length. I noticed there is very little restriction so, you may need to throttle the needle valve back a little to keep it out of the red while filling, unless you are confident that in filling fast you won't be overfilling. Then as the can empties, you can open the valve up more as the rate of fill decreases as the pressure in the can drops as it empties, allowing you to open it wide open.
