Since I purchased my autel mk808s bi directional scanner it has been wonderful and I've been able to do everything I need it to do being a 20 year automotive technician as well as power sports technician.I've been able to communicate with both power sports and automotive vehicles and see the parameters that I need to see as well as it has had all the different special functions that I've needed for things like electric parking brake or a sensor relearn calibration or brake bleeding mode so far it has been everything a professional scanner needs to be. The only downfall although not autells fault is with the power sports the manufacturers have not been mandated to all use the same connector for their diagnostic port like cars sold in the US have been since 1994 so you must purchase all the different adapters to 16pin OBD2 for all the power sports manufacturers and some manufacturers have more than for instance Yamaha has one for marine and one for off-road but this scanner does support all the different protocols needed to view the parameters for power sports you just need the adapters I have had no problems with connectivity nor have I had any problems with the units reliability it's super user friendly and I'm my honest opinion a great purchase for any mechanic or someone just looking to do some diy repairs on any late model vehicles requiring a bidirectional scanner to perform/complete specific repairs

This scanner is seriously impressive for the money. Has a lot of features that a very expensive scanner tool would offer.It worked on all systems in a sprinter van I had including forcing DPF Regen, has a lot of very valuable programming features for my 08 Chevy truck like encoder motor learn, key learn, Injector balance rates etc.if you’re on the fence about autel, don’t be. Well worth what they cost, even for a DIY enthusiast.It’s saved me thousands

I bought this because I was just tired of using my rinkydink code reader. It just wasn't giving me enough information to make correct diagnoses on these newer cars. Although I'm not an expert on using this more advanced code reader. I wish it would be easier to use by having quick start menus that skips all the shenanigans when trying to connect to the cars ECU and getting the codes or it be able to tell you if you are smog ready. Doesn't have that or at least I couldn't find it. I guess it takes time to get used to it but basically, it's menu after menu after manu after manu after manu after manu after manu after manu to get to the codes. I'm being sarcastic. You'll know what I mean when you buy it. However it does have everything that I need. Real life data of all the components that are critical for proper engine performance. This one in particular had something bonus that I didn't know I had. It's able to also communicate with your AC system and program remotes or key fobs. What a plus, wasn't expecting that, but basically it's saved me a lot of money programming my own key fobs. Practically paid for itself with that feature alone. Long story short... I was able to diagnose my vehicle and got it back on the road with this code reader. Well worth the money I paid for this diagnosed tool.

It ain't cheap but it's incredibly versatile and capable. Used it to gain access to the abs system on my car.Worth it for that alone.Definitely going to use it for diagnostics on all my cars.

This isn’t a high dollar super computer like the big garages use, but if you do your own work this is an amazing piece of equipment to have versus one of the little hand helds. It does way more and I highly recommend making this a part of your tool chest! It has a very nice hard case as well with Velcro straps to hold everything in place! Not one regret on this purchase!!
