Autel MaxiTPMS TBE200 (Tire Brake Examiner) brings tire and brake disc inspection into the modern age with quick and accurate (measuring accuracy of 0.1 mm) wear measurements. Measure tread depth/brake disc wear without removing wheels.
It's a wand-like, laser-enabled device that scans tire and brake disc surfaces to determine the condition and need for service or replacement. The TBE200 provides wear analysis and displays the analysis and service recommendations on its 1.65-inch-high resolution Super Retina touchscreen AMOLED display. The full-color graphical display illustrates wear and provides service recommendations, including tire and brake disc replacement, tire rotation, and 4-wheel alignment.

Tire Tread Depth & Brake Disc Wear Meet Your Needs
- Tire Tread Depth: Using laser technology, the Tire Tread application analyzes the wear of the tires on vehicles with no need to remove the tires. Place the tool on the tire, and the tool projects a laser beam. The wear measurement is then sent to the display screen with an accuracy within 0.1mm. Measurements are also displayed graphically. The Tire Tread application provides two types of checks: “All Treads” and “Single.” When using this application, a message will display prompting user to choose between the current mode the alternative one.
- Brake Disc Check: This function allows the Brake rotor surface wear to be measured independent of the tire tread depth measuring functions. In the order displayed on the tool. Place the tool’s magnetic tip on the rotor 90 degrees so the laser will span from the hub and the edge of the disc. Swiping left will display the information for each brake rotor. 0.1 refers to the amount of surface wear on the brake rotor. 1/10TH of a millimeter. The typical threshold for replacement is 1.0 mm of material worn off the surface. These rotors are in great condition.
Easy to Use-Autel MaxiTPMS TBE200, A good helper for Your Vehicle Tire
Autel MaxiTPMS TBE200 one-button operation, easy to use.
STEP 1: Long press the power button to turn on the tool.
STEP 2: Perform Tire Tread Check: On the Main Job screen, tap the Tread Check icon, and place the tool on the tire surface. Short press the power button. Ensure the laser line is perpendicular to the channels of the tire. The screen will display real-time measurement data, slide left to view details.
STEP 3: Possible Results for Measurements: Wear status is represented by icon color: A gray icon indicates the tire is untested; green indicates the tire is in good condition; yellow indicates a replacement is recommended; red indicates immediate replacement is recommended.
STEP4: Calibration: On the Main Job screen, tap the Calibration
icon, and place the magnetic head on the calibration table. Press the power button to start. Wait for 1-2 minutes until calibration is complete.
Calibration frequency: Calibration is recommended every two months. Immediate calibration should be performed if deviations are detected or if the tool is dropped or in some manner mishandled.
SCAN DOT
Autel TBE200 scan tool can scan or manually enter the tire DOT serial number located on the sidewall to acquire basic tire characteristics such as tire recall (American region only) and tire age.
CAR TYPE SETTING
The Tire type setting function is to choose the right type of tire for the vehicle. Three tire types are available, Summer, Winter, and All Season. Select a tire type.
QUICK CHECK
The Quick Check function is specifically designed to measure the tires and brake discs in one session. This mode also provides a comprehensive analysis of tire and brake disc wear.
CAMERA FUNCTIONS
TBE200 comes with dual cameras(1-megapixel macro camera, and an 8-megapixel zoom camera) to display the measurement data curve in real-time. The TBE200 dual camera enables users to take photos to record tire wear and damage. It can also scan the tire identification number (TIN).

Tire pressure wear standard is that when the tire is worn to the depth of the tread groove of only left 1.6 mm, it must be replaced. Via dual camera, the technician can document tire wear and damage and scan the Tire Identification Number (TIN). The TIN is the string of six to 13 numbers or letters marked on the tire sidewall following the letters DOT (Department of Transportation) identifying the tire's week and year of manufacture.
The TBE200 alerts the technician if the tire has been recalled. Studies show 85 percent of recalled tires are still on the road. The TBE200 will aid significantly in using the TIN registration feature (coming soon) of the MaxiTPMS ITS600. Tire sellers are legally mandated to register just-purchased tires on behalf of the customers.

The tool provides uneven wear analysis and detailed replacement and maintenance suggestions for quick tire service
COMPREHENSIVE TEST REPORTS
Technicians can use the bte200 separately or with Autel’s ITS600 to view and print detailed TPMS reports(TPMS health, Tire tread depth & brake disc wear characteristics) as well as register a vehicle’s new set of tires.

I am glad I purchased this tool! Very simple and easy to use tool that provides you with a great, graphical report to share with your customers. It is great that it provides a graphical representation of tire and break condition and it tells you how much the tire performance has been effected by its current wear. For example, it shows you how much your breaking distance has been increased. It can also capture pictures to share with your customer. I am very pleased.

I didn't realize that quick check did both tires and brakes at the same time. This is important when you combine it with the ITS600. The TBE200 is fast. It's as easy to use it right side up when the car is on a lift as it is to use it upside down when the car is on the ground. The whole process is super fast.

This is an awesome little tool. It really helps the customer see a full scope of tire wear and alignment needs, something you just can't do which is the tire depth gauge beautiful OLED screen and a full Autel diagnostic report showing tire wear, TPMS battery/psi/temp and you can add recommendations like rotations, tire damage, photos if needed, works fantastically with an ITS600.
