The vague instructions made me worry at first until I resorted to a You Tube tutorial to learn how to activate the device without a cellular app. After charging the device, place your cell phone in the holder accordingly, and hold up the "okay" hand symbol in front of the sensor to activate rotation feature. I highly recommend investing in the tripod bundle to save time adjusting the height and angle when necessary. Otherwise, it is an EXCELLENT investment and has saved me hundreds of dollars when considering investing in a Swivl camera. Thank you!!!

I bought this product from my wife and she uses it for her business to do ads and product reviews. She loves the auto face tracking feature cuz it allows her to show her products. Hands-free. And also when she does her live videos her people that are on are able to see her because she doesn't have to stand in one place. She can move and present items with everyone being able to see where she's at and what she's doing.

While I'm not totally unhappy I am less than pleased. It only rotates if your face is directly in front of the camera on the device, not your phone. It is face tracking so I guess that's just how it works.My issue is that you can't back away from the device or it will either stop rotating, or it will rotate in a direction of it's choosing to find you. It won't stop until you've got your face in front of the camera again. The rotation is pretty slow too, so you have to move slowly a little at a time and wait for it to adjust, then move some more.The "head" of the device does move up and down to allow you to adjust the angle of your phone, but that doesn't matter because the rotation is only based on the device's camera, making the up and down movement for your phone pointless.I guess I'd recommend buying a tripod that you can adjust to face level if your going to purchase this device. Or just make sure there's always a place that's face level wherever you go that you expect to use the device.
