Works perfectly. Easy install. Would buy again.**Update** Now finishing up the second full year of use. Still works perfectly. And this is in Texas, with the full, no shade Texas sun beating down--104F today.

For first timers it was a bit tricky, but overall pleased. However, one of the springs broke shortly after installed. Need to order extras.

Liked that the cylinder doesn't stick out the bottom of opener brackets, as I used it to lift a cover over a 4ft x 8ft raised bed planter. Cover is galvanized conduit and greenhouse plastic, 20lb lift, and it works fine.

I've had automatic vent openers in the past that were not as sturdy as these 2-spring models. I bought two of these and despite a little bit of difficulty installing (my roof vents are 10' high so I had to stand on a tall ladder and screwing on and adjusting the piston/cylinder was a bit of a challenge) they are working perfectly! In fact, my vents now open higher than they ever could with the manual openers the greenhouse came with. I have a 10'x12' Harbor Freight model. I will be ordering two more at some point for the other two roof vents.
