This TTVVDDS Automotive Fluid Extractor Pump works very well, either for extraction or filling.I used this to remove the used oil from my vertical engine log splitter, as the drain is located underneath, requiring either body contortions to lay down underneath, or standing the unit on end to access the drain - this extractor fit the bill nicely as all I had to do was draw out a couple or three of "tube fulls" with this extractor.I also used this in "fill mode" to reverse bleed the brakes on my SxS, by adding a small rubber hose to the end of the "small tube" of the extractor/filler that fit the nipple on the bleed screw of my brake caliper. It worked very well for this project. For those interested - the "large tube" is an OD of 0.325" - ID of 0.245" and the "small tube" is an OD of 0.240" and ID of 0.160"The extractor/filler seems to be well built - and not a "throw away" design - the "large tube" fits into it via a "quick connect" where all you have to do is push in on the locking mechanism to disconnect it from the "syringe". The "small tube" fits onto the "large tube" by means of a robust rubber adapter. The "syringe" can be disassembled and piston O rings can be replaced (spare set included - most likely also readily available at local automotive parts store) - it also has a decent sized handle on the end of the plunger piston. The plunger piston is actually rounded to fit the end of the "syringe" - although it has a hollow center, so when you push the fluid out, you are not exactly expelling all of the fluid (gravity does the last little bit).Overall, for the price, I don't think you could possibly go wrong with the purchase of this product - it worked well for my various uses.

So far, I used this to fill up distilled water to the car battery, and change the power steering fluid. For these, this worked really well. (Of course, once used for power steering, I don't think I'd used this again to fill up the water)But for thick oil, it didn't work really well. It required a lot of force to pull the piston. Those who have strong arms might not have a big problem with it, but for me, changing oil with this was not so good.So to change oil, traditional drain or using a powered pump would be better. There is one problem, though. It always gets a bit seized when try to use after some time.It doesn't require a lot of force to un-seize it, but if you try to suck something before un-seizing, it can cause some trouble. Even sucking distilled water required a lot of force.I think this might be useful to change transmission fluid, but for me, included tubes were not long enough.Once I get a longer tube that fits here, I will try that.At the end, I think this is a good tool to have for those who DIY own car.

I like the ability to add the extension. Pump has good suction and comes with extra o-rings so should last a long time.

This automotive fuel extractor is well-made. It works as it should sucking up fuel or oil conveniently without having to use any electronic pumps or messy siphons. The only slight problem that I have is as soon as I lift the end of the tube away from what I am extracting from it starts to drip slowly, so you kind of have to lift it up as fast as possible, and then turn it upside down so it doesn’t all drip out.Other than that, it is solidly well-made, and comes with two extra rubber O-ring replacements. It has two tubes that you can connect together if you need a longer tube. You can also unscrew the top to disassemble it to clean it out. Overall, very happy with the quality and functionality of this extra extractor!

These work fine for a bit, but then they always seem to start seizing up for whatever reason. Like, im pulling oil. That should LUBRICATE the inside. WHY is it seizing?! I dont know if there is a wrong way to use this thing and its happened to me on 2 occasions with 2 different brands. So anyways, beware. Dont use this to change a cars oil. Maybe a lawn mower.

This is such a good value tool - it replaces the turkey baster I was using before. The syringe-type pump comes with spare o-rings - it has a double o-ring plunger which is pretty impressive. The tube at the needle end of the syringe comes in two parts. The first is held in place by a clamp, and the extension is held in place by a rubber adapter. It works really well for moving oil and coolant - I'm not sure how well the seals are going to hold up against the different automotive fluids I have to extract, so it's reassuring that there is a spare set.Full marks for this little beauty!

This pump worked to drain brake fluid from my buddy's master cylinder. When my lines clogged with rust and couldn't be drained from the caliper, we used this kit to get it bled so we could remove the lines safely.
