The cardboard is a little thin and floppy, but it works for my purposes. Might not hold up very well to daily use.

Avery Dual Effect Heavy-Duty 3 Ring Binder, 1 Inch Slant Rings, Navy Blue Binder (03220)Price at time of review $9.31.I love the way this looks in the listing photos. The dual effect looked really good in the pictures. In person the visual effect is very muted, and doesn’t reflect very well. It just looks mostly plain navy blue unless the light catches it. The photo I took of the binder even looks more reflective than it actually is.There were some scratches on the binder when it arrived, and the surface is scratched easily.Otherwise, it is a nice binder. The metal rings fit together perfectly, it is decent weight and quality, and it seems durable and well-made.I’m using it, and it works well, I just wish it was as pretty as it looked like it was in the listing photos.I would say it’s probably worth half of the listing price, or less.

I have given this binder a run for my money. I have opened, closed, pulled, tugged, etc. and so far so good. My kids used to come home from school after a couple of months talking about needing new binders. I definitely think this one would outlast any regular binder for a good price!! Once it starts to fall apart, I’ll try to update.
