I used the glue sticks for appliqué on fabric, it works really well and it’s easy to use without the glue stick being too large I can glue down hard points to reach where I need the glue to hold the fabric together.

It is really hard to find permanent glue sticks where I live (everything is disappearing purple!), and my daughter's teachers specified permanent for her yearly supply list, so I found these and the price was good. I take one star off because some of the sticks seem a little dried out...

I prefer stick glue for making cards. This is the best one I've tried. Some have poor adhesion and some are too sticky. Avery glue holds everything in place without being so sticky. I have put it on repeat to purchase every two months
