I purchased the Avery Outdoors 3 in 1 Waterfowlers Paddle Attachment to have a paddle on my Bay boat and an ability to snag lines from the deck. This is a good quality product combined with the adjustable pole. I won't be snagging decoys, but it will come in handy for crab traps, paddling, pushing off of a bank, fishing trash out of the water (yes I grab litter out of the water most trips out) and swatting alligators. Well, I probably won't have to swat alligators, but I see them out on a regular basis. This pole and paddle combination is strong enough to snag a wire trap and dislodge it from the bottom with out breaking. It is very sound in design, thick heavy duty plastic. I recommend this product. Nice green color that is easily lost in the greenry of the lawn.

Ignore the bad review(s). This thing is very sturdy--I mean like bullet proof sturdy. I can't imagine that you could break or bend this paddle short of putting it in a vise or hitting it with a blowtorch. This is my kind of equipment (Note-neighbors call me "Overkill") Has the built in hooks for retrieving decoys for you that hunt waterfowl.One note, THIS WILL NOT PROPERLY FIT DOTLINE PUSH POLES. One of the reviewers says it will--I disagree. They're shaped like an octagon and the paddle was made for round poles (first clue :-) The paddle will attach and the pins will lock but the fit is loose and sloppy when mounted on the Dotline pole--using would probably break the locking pins or damage the pole--no doubt it would fail at the worst moment when you really need it. I would probably only use the Avery poles. I assume this was made to fit their poles perfectly since it's an Avery product.For the record I have Dotline poles--that's how I know they don't work well.

I paired this with the Avery extendable pole for my 16' flat bottom sportsman's sled. I use it every time I hunt waterfowl and comes in handy in shallow water to maneuver the boat and to retrieve decoys. Whoever designed this product tested in the field. I would buy this again.

This is a great product and should be a staple on any duck boat.Push pole, decoy retriever and paddle in one... And it fits in a standard boat gun box.

The paddle works well to paddle a 17 foot duck boat around the decoys and grabs the decoy lines well. However the paddle also grabs lily pad stems if you paddle thru them.
