Seem to be sturdy and good quality. Time and use will tell!

These scissors are great, especially for cardboard and thin plastics. I have used them several times for opening packages that are usually in the hard sealed plastic like other tools. Lot less risk of cutting yourself using a razor when you have scissors like this and you don't have to dull the blade as quickly as your standard kitchen scissors and these take less effort to squeeze to cut through thicker, plastic or cardboard. They are pretty thin. Only thing I would maybe change is make the handles a little thicker for a little more comfort, but I don't use them for an extended amount of time so it's not much of an issue for me.

I did work on my gutters last year and used a reciprocating saw to cut pieces… never again. This set of tin snips is great and ate through the scrap gutter material I had on hand like butter.

At first, I doubted that the blades on these snips were made from stainless steel, since they were magnetic (300 series stainless steel such as 304 or 316 is austenitic SS and hence non-magnetic). However, the material 4CR13 is a ferritic stainless steel which is magnetic: “4†stands for 0.4% carbon content and “CR13†means that there is 12-14% chromium content, which is what makes the material corrosion resistant. 4CR13 is used making cutting blades and scissors because of its hardness, corrosion resistance and toughness. These are relatively small compared to my old CR-V (chromium-vanadium) aviation tin snips from the big orange box store (see photo). Both snips were able to cut a stack of three sheets of copper flashing - each 0.03†thick for a total thickness of 0.09â€, but both were unable to cut 4 sheets (total thickness 0.12â€).These snips look sharp (pun intended) and are very well made. It does not appear that the plastic handles have any intention of slipping off – they are attached very well.Considering how well they cut flashing, I don’t see any fault with these snips while they are new and sharp. Given the quality blade material, I don’t expect that they will dull quickly.

These are not premium brand tin snips, but are still very good for the price. I just used them to cut some chicken wire for a project. They're worth having in your toolbox, because when you don't have a pair a shears, you always end up needing them.

I have a terrible rodent and rabbit problem in my garden and one of the few things that is somewhat effective is surrounding the plants and raised beds with wire cloth or mesh. Depending on the protection needed, it can be as small as .25 inches or more like the standard chicken coop size. These snips can be used effectively on both thicknesses as well as on thin sheet metal. The handle is comfortable and I rarely get hand fatigue when using them for long runs of fencing.

This review is for the Aviation Tin Snips 8.7 Inch Heavy Duty Industry Scissors Straight Metal Cutter with Comfort Grip and Stainless Steel Blades Multifunction Cutting... Offered by the TOOLMAK Store:- Another great tool for the home, garden, and shop.- I find that I use it more than I thought I would.- It is sharp and effective in cutting.- The grip is comfortable and with the spring feature it is less fatiguing on your hands.- It comes in handy for quick jobs, that I now reach for this instead of my box cutter. So it adds to safety in that respect.- Great deal for the current price of $13.99- Another tool that I would recommend having on hand.
