UPDATE: Well its been one year and the fan has worked flawlessly the entire time(daily use). No mechanical or electrical issues. Kept all the Florida bugs out even when i left the door open for a time (Horse Flies, No-see ums, and Man eating yellow flies )Build quality The unit is constructed in a light weight metal enclosure. Despite being light weight, it neither feels cheap or flimsy. The color is a neutral pearl or off white with a pleasant glossy finish. I feel the finish would make it easy to wipe clean when the time came. The included pressure switch seems substantially well built and have no doubt it will last.Operation: The unit has a hi/lo and off switch. Convenient for those months when you may not need or want the unit to operate. The pressure switch is mounted inside my door frame and triggers on when the door is open.Installation (Skip to Final thoughts if you’re having it installed): Installation is fairly easy depending on a few factors. If a power outlet is within reach, you could simply plug in the unit and operate it via the on/off switch. My two goals were to hide all wiring and have the unit operate automatically when the door opened. This made my install a bit more involved. Mounting the unit onto the wall is very easy. Simply screw the included bracket to the studs above your door. Once the bracket is securely mounted, raise the unit onto the bracket lip and it will hang. Secure the unit to the bracket by installing screws into the matching orifices. This is where my install required extra planning and doing. To hide the wires behind the unit I installed a above the door and behind the mounting bracket. This allowed me to wire up a and run the pressure switch wire through the cable access port. I cut out a rectangular access port in the center of the mounting bracket. This allowed me access to the newly installed outlet ( no worries, the bracket is plenty big so cutting the access port wasn’t a safety issue.)The unit has a short 1-foot pig tail for wiring in the pressure switch (see picture 2). The pigtail wires are crimped together from factory in case you don’t plan to use the pressure switch. I extended the pigtail by cutting off the factory crimp and crimping on the part of an . I then ran the extension behind the unit to the outlet. (See Picture 3) As I mentioned before, the flat panel tv outlet has a cable access port. I used that orifice to push the extension into the wall and down a hole I drilled in the corner of the door frame. At this point I was ready to mount the pressure switch to the door frame. I decided to spray paint the pressure switch white and use a rather than the black one it comes with. I then used 2-1/2 inch deck screws (small head) to mount the switch. I hope the pictures help clear things up.Final thoughts:The unit is working flawlessly for two weeks now. Open the door and it kicks on. Nice and simple. There is definitely enough air pressure to keep nats and mosquitos out. The true test will come once yellow fly season starts (will update). This being my first air curtain; it isn’t as loud as I thought it was going to be. My family had their doubts as to why I would bother to install the curtain but now they really like having it.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE: 3 months and working very well. Yellow fly and horse fly season is in full swing. Not one has made it through the air curtain!

I ordered two air curtains for the front doors of a hotel to cut down on hot air intrusion into the lobby. They work great. The quality of the unit is very good and they are much quieter than the old ones we had. I am planning on getting a heavy duty unit for the restaurant kitchen door soon.

Great product and price. I held off getting one these wondering how well they would work. We have horses which attract the flies which are terrible and would get in the house. We also have kids who leave the door open. So far we have only one or two flies each day and I don't believe that they are coming in the door with the air curtain. This thing really works. It was very easy to install. I ran an electrical outlet up near the unit on the wall and ran the cord for the switch inside the wall so it isn't visible. It looks very clean. The mounting plate was easy to hang and the unit hangs from that. We are thinking of getting one for the other doors and possible my shop. The fan is very quiet but powerful.

This is just what we needed, you can open the door and no flying insects can get in, also won't let the warm air out or cold air in, and vise versa, very nice 2 speed, so you can select the speed that fits your needs.

Purchased in July. Unit worked for 30 days before magnetic switch failed. Wired without the switch, and unit lasted 60 more days then failed. I will be searching for a more durable unit. Too late for Amazon and seller hasn’t made contact re: warranty.Seller contacted me. Diagnosed via email, and sent me a replacement part. Seems durability might be a question, but service response is fast.

I'm giving it 4.5 stars, i would give it 5 stars, but it is kind of loud. I bought it for my house, we have i designer front door that we don't want to cover up with a screen door. So it arrived on time, and the instructions were simply. Installation required 2 people, and the magnetic switch was straightforward. Works great, but just a little loud for a house. I did not think so at first, but my family said right away, that it was loud. After a couple of days, i could see what they were talking about. Although i don't have to turn up the t.v. when someone walks through the door, if someone stood in the door for a long period, i would want to. It has a nasally, hollow, metallic sound, with a small whine as the motor revs up to speed. I guess it would be no problem for a business, and in that case, it's perfect. Overall i love it, it does what it promise, and is not real loud. Would i buy another one, yes!, but 1 was all i needed. P. S. The cord is kind of short and It's kind of big too!

I considered a few brands before making a final decision on this Awoco air curtain. Mars is a good brand but expensive and the air curtain is too heavy to hang it securely by myself. I will need to pay extra for hiring a professional to install it. Welbon has only 1 speed, I cannot choose the airflow volume during different seasons.Awoco should be the right fit for my application. 1234buy is the authorized seller for customer service, so I bought from 1234buy, slighty cheaper than Amazon direct. It arrived very quick and I installed it myself without any issue. The door micro switch is inside the manual pack and the manual shows detailed diagram for door micro switch connection and installing, very helpful! It is very quiet on low speed and pretty powerful on high speed. Very high quality air curtail, the case is alloy which won't get rust for a long time.Very happy on my decision for choosing Awoco.
