Quality and sturdiness seems good, but not outstanding. I like that it covers the entire axe head and has a belt loop. I wish it was more adjustable, however. The velcro area is small and the snap is fixed so this sheath is basically one fixed size and unadjustable. It fits my little Fiskars X7 hatchet perfectly, but is not even close to fitting a Cold Steel Trail Boss, Marbles 18" axe, or Husqvarna 16" hatchet with 2 lbs. head.

I bought thia for my axe but it is way too small. They have measurements in the ad, i was too lazy to measure my axe. Well made and works great on my camping hatchet

I bought a off-branded cheapo hatchet from your local big box store. which I sharpened to have an incredibly sharp and just couldn't warrant it not having a sheath anymore turns out if this was a Kobalt or an Estwing it would have been perfect I guess their heads are a little smaller. no part won't fit but I feel like it should be known that your hatchet or axe may or may not fit differently.
