I was not terribly impressed with this tape when first received but used it anyway to repair torn material on my Honda CRV arm rest. My fear was that it would hold up only as well as duct tape (which it looks like). After almost a year, I am happy to report that this tape is very good. There is no problem with adhesion or making a mess with spreading/leaking adhesive putty, as I expected. This stuff works great in a location where it is often hot and there is a lot of regular elbow contact. It does not have a realistic leather-like appearance, nor does it stretch and conform to irregular surfaces, but I am quite happy with what it does.

Great color match to my office chair. Unfortunately, my chair is "bonded leather", which I now know is less than 20% real leather and super thin. I had to use a lot more tape because it was ripping the "bonded leather". So, if you find that you've also been duped to think you bought a real leather chair, just because it was over $200 (on sale) - don't use this product. Do go out and buy a real leather chair. This product works great on real leather -tested that out too, on our massage chair. The tape I used is still holding fast and until you get up close, you can't tell the chair has been taped.

This tape is super sticky and adheres much more tightly than traditional duct tape (the gray stuff). It is very strong. But it not cloth-like enough to go around any even mild curves without making sharp hard points at the edges. For instance, I put this on the armrest pads of my office chair which are rounded and just an eighth of an inch narrower than the tape but the tape did not curve over the rounded parts without intolerably rough corners popping up every quarter to half inch. So super for a flat area of a seat or back of chair but not for anything rounded.

I bought this tape to cover an ugly white cord & plug. The color was perfect - the adhesion, not so much. At first, the tape stuck really well - in fact, I struggled with it because it was hard to keep it from sticking together when fitting it around the cord & plug. I was really happy as they seemed to really disappear against the backsplash. This lasted for about 2 days. It started coming loose, not only where I covered the plug itself, but also where I had wrapped the cord and the tape was stuck on tape. I must say I’m highly disappointed in the performance of this product.

This is a tricky product. If your vinyl is flaking, then this tape will stick to the flaking vinyl, rip that off, and not "adhere." Can't fault the tape for that. However, there were many areas where this tape simply peeled up from the vinyl, hence I can fault it for the lack of adhesion, there.You can see the pics where the tape started coming up. It actually got A LOT worse than what I'm showing, here. Such that I could blame this tape for ruining my recliners. I had two solutions: get some dark brown duct tape, and just use that. Or, what I actually did was recover the damaged areas with this tape, and then cover that with Crystal Clear Gorilla Tape. The Gorilla Tape adhesion is spectacular, no complaints there.If you decide to get this stuff, some tips: It adheres to itself very well. So, the best usage for this is to overlap it on itself, making as big a patch as possible that will extend from one hidden crevice to another. The crevices are what will prevent the edges from being peeled up from contact. Also, this tape will probably do much better on hard surfaces, such as the side of a sofa or padded, upholstered chest, than in an actual seat area, which is exposed to a lot of flexing.If I had to do this, again, I would probably try to just find some dark brown duct tape. This stuff is expensive for the amount you get, and the iffy adhesion is a no-go.

To be frank, I had low hopes for how well this product would repair the leather on my chair - but it failed to even meet those expectations. This is essentially glorified duct tape. Its CLEARLY not leather, doesn't even look like PU leather. It's duct tape, it looks like duct tape, it feels like duct tape, and it wrinkles and rips just like duct tape. It does not stretch, so it wont conform well to curves and corners unless they are around a single axis. Compound curves need not apply here.Does it look better than an open tear in your leather products... yes. But not much, so temper your expectations.

I hat buying these items on line trying to get a colour match. The colour dark brown was almost a perfect match. Ùsed it to repair the ottoman as it was rippiping on the lid. The adhesive is very strong and is holding up well. Aside from the lack of stitching you can't tell that there was a repair job. This was a well under $15.00 spent as it saved a couple of hundred replacing the ottoman. Highly recommend this product
