I needed these to hold the free weight plates on my dumbbell bars. They are solid, easy to tighten, and hold a lot of weight in place with no fear of the plates falling off the bars while lifting. Super pleased.

These were used to retain the upper cap on our Samsung top loading washing machine. The section of each rod where the upper cap travels was re-greased with heavy dampening grease and these collars were installed with only slight preloading of the top caps.Once in use, the top cap is pulled down approximately a half inch from the collar, so additional preloading might have been beneficial, but the outcome was absolutely perfect, perhaps from the grease alone. If the fresh grease doesn't last or the wobble partially returns, the collars will be installed with a half inch's worth of preload.The outside diameter of the 1/4 variety is small enough to pass through the lower tabs on the drum with just a little tug to pop it through.Another reviewer said their threads were stripped. They certainly cross-threaded it. Get each side started before drawing either one down, and don't force it if it's not easy.

I'm so glad I came across these machined clamps. They work perfect for exactly what I wanted which is my folding camera always slide down, however using these right below the o-ring of the armrest locks that in place and no way will that armor slide down it is amazing does not hurt the chairs tubing at all and perfectly works I'm so happy these things are amazing and I'm trying to think of other applications I could use them for not to mention the pricing is amazing as well.

This was for a small custom outdoor farm project. The clamps did as I had hoped. However, my only mistake was not buying a stainless version which could stand up better to the elements better.

It worked as a replacement for a push nut on the axle of a hand cart which had inflatable tires. Replaced the wheels with no flat tires, got rid of the annoying push nuts as well

The double split for these are incredibly strong. I've had the stop collars with a single split and always had problems with slippage. These stop collars hold their position even through many, many uses where the bit slips into a metal guide such as a dowel jig.

I used these low cost collars to fix the weak spring shocks in my Maytag washer. the springs had gotten slack over time allowing the washer bowl to bang about in spin mode. these collars hold the springs in tension again and the washer works perfectly. Avoided a costly repair from a service call and replacement parts.
