I purchased this for my manual tire changer to clamp down its central post (50mm OD) and the spacer plate under it. It definitely clamps the two together very tight and reinforces the structure so it doesn't wobble during the tire changing process. Really love how heavy duty it is and the peace of mind that the equipment will endure many more tire changes. It takes a 6mm hex / Allen key to tighten it down. Two clamps/collars in the bag.

I use them on a water fountain I built. Very well made they are black iron so will likely rust over time but not a problem in this case.

I had to use a wedge to spread it apart so it would fiton my harbor freight tire changer. I saw some people sand away the paint to make it work ,seems like a lot of extra work when spreading it out worked fine.

Quite pleased with the 1/2" collars. The rod I'm using is not machined - just off the shelf rolled stuff from Home Depot, and these fit quite nicely; threading on easily enough and clamping solidly. Remember that you don't want a lot of travel in clamped collars, so they're going to be made to be an almost snug fit - you may have to be careful to put these on and travel them a little more perpendicular than you are used to. Set screw was a standard size, just grabbed one of my t-handles and was ready to go. I am not using them for extreme lateral resistance - just using one on either size of a 2" rubber bushing to hold it in place to provide rotational force against a heavy rotating object, and they are doing the job quite nicely. Would definitely recommend and buy again, and in fact thinking of getting a few just to have on hand as for the price, you can literally do that. Only in use for a short time indoors, so no feedback on corrosion or finish yet.
