Salt binds and enhances other flavors by bringing out savory notes or balance out sweetness and acidity. Whether you prefer sprinkling a dash of sea salt, Kosher salt, or Himalayan pink salt to your dishes, make sure to store salt in a dry, cool place to maintain its taste and freshness. The Babish Salt Cellar with Wood Lid features a stoneware construction to provide durability and protection from moisture and light. The compact but deep shape allows to store and serve salt or any of your essential seasonings within your arm's reach while marinating, cooking, or garnishing food. Wide opening caters to any hand size to grab or pluck a pinch of salt, pepper, sugar, and other spices. The acacia wood lid helps keep the contents fresh, while adding a rustic look to any kitchen space or countertop. Dishwasher safe. To clean the lid, wipe with a soft, damp cloth.

Great size to use next to the stove or on the table for finishing salt. Well constructed and fashionable. Definitely recommend.

My sister introduced me to salt flakes this summer and I'm hooked. That means I wanted additional salt cellars for my different "flavors".This is a really nice set -- it is looks great on my counters (which are dark grey granite). The wood top is attractive and fits the bottom perfectly. The cellar part itself appears to be made out of stoneware. The only thing that concerns me is whether the glaze is lead-free. I'll be investing in lead-testing swabs to confirm there is no lead hazard. Also, I tend to prefer salt cellars that have the swivel magnetic lid because it only requires one hand. But that is really just a personal preference.[LCVR]

I'm a long time fan of "Binging with Babish" and own his first cookbook. I am happy to see he is making a foray into cookware but I was a bit hesitant because lots of celebrity branded cookware varies greatly in quality. Fortunately, this salt cellar is really quite nice. It is well made from premium materials and components. It's a great size and actually larger than you might expect from the photos. The wooden lid is nicely finished and I love the simple and modern design. I prefer that look to anything loud or colorful when it comes to kitchenware. It holds quite a bit of salt and it is very useful to keep by the stove to salt meats and veggies in the pan.

I ordered this salt cellar to replace our old bamboo one after learning that bamboo kitchenware can be treated with chemicals that should be nowhere near food. The actual holder is made out of stone and has a really nice weight to it that prevents it from sliding around when you go grab a pinch of salt. The lid is made from acacia wood and is also very sturdy/ has a nice weight to it.The look of it is much nicer than the swivel lid bamboo cellar we had before and the quality is top-notch which is what we've come to expect from Babish kitchenware!
