There aren't any real instructions on how to use this thing, and it clearly has two distinct sides. According to the pictures, the silver/shiny side goes out and the white soft material goes in towards the seat. The cover does fit over my Graco 4-in-1 car seat, but I basically just drape it over as the bungee is basically useless. It's super thin and ridiculously long, it doesn't really do anything without a lot of finagling. It does provide a bit of relief for my toddler when used consistently, but it's also cumbersome to fit it over the seat while holding my son. When there's two of us, it's obviously easier with the extra set of hands. Biggest thing is remembering to use it. I do like that it folds pretty easily when not in use. It's better than not having anything at all, as he just seems to bake sitting in his seat (poor thing) which is why I got this cover.

This is a game changer. I think about the car seats for my kids and how hot they get when left in the car all day on an outing, or even just sitting in a hot garage in the middle of the summer. This fits over my Graco 4-in-1 just fine. It covers the seat material which is what my kiddo doesn't like to sit on when too hot. When this goes over, it just about stays as cool as when you cover it. This cover keeps the seat cool enough where your kid won't be crying to get back into the car seat. It buys you time before you can get the car cooled down again.
