My child recently fell off the bed ( at a 3 1/2 foot fall with hard wood floors, at 6 months old) during his nap, while we were at work and he was with our baby sitter at the time. He ended up having a minor brain fracture and brain bleed, and what we thought a quick trip to the ER would be, turned into a helicopter transport within 45 minutes once they read his CT to a hospital that treats head trauma - fast forward three months later, he is perfectly fine, actually he barely missed a beat, didn’t affect him developmentally, all healed on its own, and he is doing amazing and meeting all of his milestones,! But it was very traumatic for me as a mother, and this gives me reassurance, but also validation, because it does indeed work. I’ve seen it save him from hitting his head, on a corner, falling backwards while losing balance, etc. Great product, great price, and arrived within two days. He also barely even notices it is on his, so it is comfortable too, which matters. Over all, 10/10.

This is super easy to put on, but it doesn't fit snug. It has the chance of moving so it won't always catch your little one. I'd recommend the helmet style ones over the backpack. It is thick enough the softens the blow of falls.
