I just had my husband assemble this chair for our little granddaughter's nursery in our home (she's moving in for awhile!) I was anxious to see if it was difficult - I was so glad that I had read all of the reviews, and I thank the man who wrote about not tightening the arms too much before screwing in the back part. i just cautioned my husband to not tighten the screws too tight at first, and everything worked out perfectly. i love the gray color, and because I'm short I just put a small pillow near my lower back. It glides quietly and swivels easily - I bought this chair instead of a cheaper glider because I eventually want to use it in our family room or living room. It is a bit big for our small room, so I will be storing the ottoman in the hallway. I think it will come in handy later when my grandkids want to sit on it.Update: We have loved using this chair for the past 2 years - it's so soft, comfy and large enough for my 6 ft 200lb+ husband to use with a squiggly 2 year old. Wish we had bought the same chair 2 years earlier for our downstairs nursery. Our granddaughter is moving out with her parents in a few weeks, and I am considering buying another one and sending this one with them. I love it!

I ordered this on a whim because I was desperate to get something to help soothe my colicky baby. I had been holding out to find the "perfect one" but this one does the trick. It is easily assembled (by my husband), sturdy, fairly comfortable, and gets the job done. I am 5'10" and my hubby is 6'2" and we cannot rest our heads comfortably on the back. I have 2 toddlers constantly making a mess on it and it wipes up great with cleaner. Overall a great buy! Especially since I bought it one day when I was going crazy with a screaming infant! I'd like to add that it is definitely much more comfortable than my other glider which was not the arm-chair type like this one!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this glider and the only thing that made me hesitate were all the reviews I read about how the holes didn't line up and made assembly a nightmare. I went ahead and purchased the glider thinking that if there were some problem with the holes lining up then I could fix that (I'm a mechanical engineer by trade).When I started putting the chair together it was almost amusing as it was so obvious as to why people were having trouble with the holes lining up. As you can see from my pictures the wood piece on the bottom of the chair has slotted holes which means that the back rest, left armrest and right armrest are able to shift around slightly until you tighten the bolts down. If you put the armrest on, tighten the bolts all the way down and then try and line up the back rest then yes, you may have trouble with the holes lining up. I know this because that's exactly what happened to me. But, if you simply put the screws in, get them to a little less then hand tight (so you can still move the arm rest), slide the back rest into its grooves and then insert the 3 back rest screws then there will be no problem getting everything to line up properly.The chair is great though. I'm 6-2" and 230 pounds and I'm very comfortable sitting in it. My wife loves the chair as well and can't wait to use it in our nursery.I'm dissapointed that I waited so long to buy this chair because of the reviews I read in regards to the holes not lining up and assembly being difficult. Everything lines up great and assembly by myself took around 30 minutes so don't let the poor reviews about the assembly scare you away from this chair.

We love this rocker. It is beautiful and looks awesome in my daughter's nursery. The grey is a true grey and is very soft. It is silent when I rock her. The only issue we had was getting it assembled. The rocking ottoman comes totally assembled already. But for some reason, the holes don't line up properly when you go to attach the top of the chair to the bottom rocking part. It took my husband a good 20 minutes just on that part alone, otherwise it would have been done much quicker. I had read the reviews before buying it and saw that this had been an issue for other people but I decided to chance it. Unfortunately, we had the same issue! Having said that, I would still purchase this item again if I had to because it is very pretty and DEFINITELY worth the low price!!!

Two main problems with this glider:1. It is noisy when you glide / rock. It squeaks on every glide.2. The back is not high enough. I am 5'10" and the back goes to my shoulders. As a result, there is no support for your neck or head. Very uncomfortable if you plan to try to sleep in this chair. The chair is OK (minus the squeaks) if you just rock. But if you try to sleep / nap while baby is sleeping, it will be very uncomfortable.

Delivery was quick and, thanks to the helpful hints from others, the assembly went fairly smooth. It did take two of us to make sure everything was lined up properly before tightening everything up but all-in-all, went together nicely.The color is a very pretty grey and the fabric is very soft. The swivel and glide action are smooth and quiet. I do wish the back were a little taller but that is the only thing I would change and it is what I expected. There were others with taller backs but I liked the overall style of this one better so I decided to go with the lower back.
