I had a IPhone 13 Pro, and the back glass was smashed. I needed a replacement and this product has good reviews. Two businesses in my area quoted me $550. That was way more than I wanted to spend. This product was inexpensive so I decided to give it a try.I am not too tech savvy, but I can be handy. I watched a couple videos and I can promise you it’s not as easy as they make it. Do yourself a favor and buy a glass punch that they use in the videos. You will need it to do around the cameras. I used my heat gun and carefully scraped glass for 5 hours. The glue used from the factory did not come off as easy as videos made it, and I would recommend buying the tech glue remover to help. I did not have it, but people have told me made it so much easier. As for the product purchased, it came with almost everything I needed besides the punch and heat gun. I cleaned the phone really well getting rid of all glass, and the new back glass dry fit perfectly. I used the glue that came with the kit and set it. Photo is the final product. 5 stars on the product, 1 star on recommending anyone to actually do it.

This process, for being fairly tech savvy myself, I've built computers, disassembled laptops, phones, etc., is a terrible, terrible process and I beg you to spend the money to go somewhere professional or just live with your cracked phone. You are literally scraping microscopic shards of glass directly attached via super glue to your phone for hours, even with a heat gun. It is nowhere near as easy as it looks in youtube videos. I broke my wireless charging connector and my flash, but somehow my phone made it out alive. I consider myself VERY lucky. I beg you, please please do not do this yourself, it is really not worth it. I do everything myself and save money at every corner I can, but if I could go back I would have gone somewhere professional, or just lived with a broken back glass pane. But, if you are going to, here's how I did:Essentials:Safety gogglesGloves (seriously don't skip on these...)Heat Gun (240C, 40 air)Blasting Pen: Essential for removing camera crystal. It makes life 100 times easierXacto knife provided: for initially removing glassSpudger: for removing excess and cleaning edgesBrush provided: clean messSuper glue providedClamps to secure the screen once you finish5 Stars because this kit includes ALOT and is cheap and the glass is great and looks authentic. No complaints, just prepare for the hair-pulling process.Good Luck, I hope you find this helpful

Before you can install this, you first must remove the original back-glass. The glue Apple uses is very strong, but will respond to heat; a lot of heat! I used 380c on my SMD rework station with a 5mm tip and airflow of 60. Unfortunately other things like the cameras, flash and 5G antenna's (plastic covers) also respond to heat, and can easily be damaged from overheating. The "Jewel" glass around the cameras is extra thick, which means more heat where you really don't want the extra heat. Using a glass breaking punch tool on the Jewel, is necessary, even for professional back-glass replacements that use a laser to destroy the glue. Even though I had set my glass punch to the lowest setting, it managed to transfer the shock to the OLED panel and now I have a little black spot on my screen (directly below one of the places I punched the jewel). I'll have to live with that.I used capton tape to keep grains of glass from falling further into the device, and hold the magnets in place. But even with this extra care, I managed to snag the flash and tore part of its flex cable. Fortunately the part I tore appears to be a redundant ground, and my flash still works. YMMV. You have to be especially careful around the flash and mic as they both are on the ends of flex cables. This back glass features slightly larger holes so it easily fits over the camera lens. But that means that water can easily enter around the camera holes. This item does come with a super thin 3m adhesive, but not in the area of the cameras. I'm planning to use B-7000 instead of the provided adhesive with extra applied around the camera lens to try to make it at least water resistant, and then top it off with a lens protector that covers the entire jewel lens area. With all the "recommended" tools, including a SMD rework station and glass punch, several prying blades, it still took me over 8 hours to install. This was my first attempt at this repair, so I moved slowly and carefully to minimize the damage. I don't see how you can avoid damaging the foil that protects the wireless charging coils - and suspect those coils are often damaged when someone attempts this repair. The maglock magnets are easily dislodged, so people probably give up on this feature as well. The lidar filter on the apple screen has a pink-chrome hue to it, but this replacement only has IR paint. Not sure if that will impact the lidar performance (used by autofocus and night photos as well as measurements).I would NOT attempt this repair using these after-market back glass again. It would have been far faster and safer to just transfer my phone parts to a newer chassis with a good back-glass, which you can find for around $100, and is less that the cost of all the tools you need to attempt this repair properly. I seriously doubt a hairdryer or unregulated heat gun would produce a successful repair. In hindsight, I should have just paid the local shop the $160 they wanted to do the repair, and life with the reduced waterproofing. Good luck, if you attempt to use one of these back-glass replacements!

I watched videos and read the directions. I used a blow dryer and put the phone on the rubber side of a mouse pad. I bought a glass breaker kit and had all the tools to finish what I thought might take 2-3 hours. My breaker dented the aluminum mildly in a couple spots but it didn’t seem to affect the replacement. It looks perfect! it’s been on the phone for almost a month now. Looks just like new and seems to have adhered very well!

So I’m giving 3 stars bc the back glass seems fine. I’m pretty handy and good at fixing tech stuff and this is impossible. I got a heat gun and the glass breaker and followed the youtube videos, but it’s impossible to use a heat gun and glass breaker without also burning all the important pieces of the iphone. As soon as I got a few big pieces of the back off I’d already burnt some other part that started smoking, and I think right from the start I went too deep and was taking off parts I wasn’t supposed to. Why would apple make the back glass. honestly.

This kit is full of flimsy tools that don’t work, it is utterly unusable.Do not buy this, send the extra money and buy the more expensive version, it will save your money in the long run
