Excellent product even if it did not fit to my liking. Went with a slimmer model that I could under my jacket.

Small - Approach FxThis is my first experience with a Badlands product. I ordered this one and the Mag 2. Both are top quality, but this one is missing some of the bells and whistles though it’s made up for in some ways. These differences create the cost difference. For instance, this does not have the magnetic pocket in the back or the zippered pocket, but it does have two elastic pockets on the sides. Both products have an elastic pocket inside the pack.A big difference between the two models is this one does not have full coverage and is open on the top ⅓ of the sides. Here are some of the things I like about the product. Much of this is the same reason why I also like the other Badlands so there will be overlap between my two reviews. The camo pattern looks great and works well.Quiet fabric inside and out.Strong magnets everywhere needed including one to hold the bag open.Back padding is thick, cushiony, and breathable.Extra pockets. One on the outside of each side (elastic), and one inside the pack (elastic).Comfortable fit.Straps large enough to fit around my 250+ pound body with a heavy coat on. Though there was not a ton of room to spare.Clear warning not to use with pacemakers. The tag states Badlands offers LIFETIME REPAIR.Personally I believe both products are great, but if I were choosing between the two, I would go ahead and shell out for the Mag 2.

The material and quality of anything Badlands is just amazing. I one stick saddle hunt with a bow and use this for my rangefinder. I like having it within easy reach and safe from falling. Things falling while one sticking isn't a easy task to recover. The products material is quite and the shoulder straps are very comfortable to wear during long sits. The buckles are of great quality and the magnetic closure is convenient. You can't go wrong buying anything from Badlands and they have a lifetime warranty to prove that.

I decided to give this badlands bino pouch a shot for some scouting for the upcoming hunting season. This pouch works great to hold my 8x42 diamondbacks. I am currently using these with the harness system that is included but I also tried connecting these to my badlands pack that I already have and they work great with that as well. I use a larger pouch during hunting season that attaches to my pack but these are perfect for scouting. I will also be using these for early bow hunting season when the weather is still warm and I am not carrying as much gear. This pouch is great and if you manage to damage any badlands gear email or call badlands and they will take care of you.

I had Big Plans for this, and maybe still do.I thought I could use it to carry my thermal monocular, and regular monocular, and draw them from either side hole. Well, it fits my 6 and 1/8" thermal like it was made for it. And, my 7" monocular fits PERFECTLY next to it, like they were made to go together. A match made in heaven. And then...boom. The top won't close, and my dreams are shattered. *Sad face emoji. To be fair, there is a slightly larger version that has a 7 and 1/4" interior dimension. Which is awesome. I just didn't have that option, and could only get this one.I may just have to find a 6" monocular. Will work perfectly, then. So, if your binoculars or monoculars are no more than 6 and 1/4" (that might even be pushing it, because the inside dimensions are listed as 6.125"), and not super wide, this might work for you.But I still have a few gripes, that will be uncommon for the average user of this bino harness. I'm not a hunter, but rather a Post Apocalyptic Warlord In Training, and I collect tactical/survival gear. Which often includes good quality hunting gear, like this harness. Was thinking it could have some tactical/combat applications and abilities. And it does; it's just not designed for that, and it's no fault to the product, really. So, though it looks cool and all, I could really do without the embroidered logo on the front.Secondly, though Cordura brand fabrics are one of the keys to my heart, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see the tag on a product, I'd prefer it not be right out front. Discreet branding is something I really like. Not crazy about these long and short white tags on the inside, that are reminscent of pillow and mattress tags. LoL. But I guess they have to show country of origin. Which is Vietnam. And, some of my favorite products of all time are or were made there, so that's not a con for me. I just hope it's not illegal to cut those off, because they're annoying. And then, there's this big red stopsign patch, right about where your heart will be, warning not to use with a pacemaker or other medical device near it, because of the magnets. I'd like for that to be on the packaging, and the directions. Maybe just say "Magnetic" on the back part that goes against your chest? Something besides a red bullseye over your heart. LoL.BUT, that's where my complaints end. Everything else about this harness is Top Notch. If it wasn't for my minor disappointments and Tactical Gear Junkie hangups that can't officially be complaints about a hunting product, I'd be singing its praises from the rooftops. I'd probably feel that way about the 7" version, minus the embroidered logo and Cordura tag, and red stopsign when it's open, and maybe if it were in CP/Multicam Camo. It would be all my dreams come true for a bino pouch/harness, then.Love the little lanyard + clip dewhickeys. Absolutely love the magnetic closure. The "plastic" buckles are ROCK SOLID feeling. Even more-so than some of my favorite military-grade gears.Soft, velvety/suede-like feeling fabrics everywhere, while also super durable. Has some MOLLE compatibility. Not as much as I'd like, maybe, but it's there. You can attach a magpouch, flashlight/tool/utility pouch, TQ, on either side of it. Cool little straps and loops, and a hook (inteded for a bow), for hanging things from the bottom, caribiners/grimloks etc.Fine quality and craftsmanship all around, that is right up there with The Big Dogs in tactical and hunting gear. Looks and feels like all the most expensive top brands I know and love. It's certainly 5 star gear, in its field. Just not quite perfect for me, personally.I love everything about it except for my above-listed gripes, and if those don't apply to you, then count my review as 5 stars. You will love it, if it meets your size specifications, and you're using it for hunting, sight-seeing, bird watching, leisure or sporting activities. Absolutely perfect for that, and crushes my other good quality bino harnesses in almost every department except for storage capacity, and level of camouflage to the human eye (which you wouldn't want for hunting, I imagine. Kinda want other hunters to see you) or night vision.Highly recommend it for sporting and recreational use. 👍

Its really well made, and if you ONLY want to carry your small set of bino's (my diamondback 40x12's dont fit) and your hunting license, then it is a winner for you. For me, I like using my bino packs as a chest rig, I carry my binos, range finder, knife, ear pro, extra ammo, license, and phone/car keys in my sitka bino pack. This has some straps that MIGHT allow you to add two small molle pouches to the sides and turn it into a chest rig, but I havent tried, as the loops look narrow. If you only want to protect and carry your binos on your chest, this pack is well made and the magnetic silent closure is really strong and quite intuitive to use.
