built a buck saw w this blade using 1x4 red oak.1 of the three boards ,cross piece ripped to 1x3.w an 11 inch space between top of blade and bottom of cross piece.this is my 5th and largest build ( all bacho blades,12,21,24 & 30).I changed tentioning method from traditional cord to 1/4 inch all thread with this one.works really well, durable and capable.the bacho is king in this field! tooth tempering is right on.couldnt be happier w my choice to build, rather than buy and my choice of parts and material.pay attn to grain orientation wen wood sellecting. (like you would for an axe handle)

This is a mega sharp blade . I cut 6 inch branches like they were butter. Not a thick blade . I cant say how long it will last . Hopefully a while.

Cuts through tree-limb's like butter. Very helpful for clearing fallen branches. It gives me peace of mind to have it in case things ever get too rough in winter and I have to go cut down a standing dead tree by hand.

Does not jam , clean cut. manageable by one operator. Two person pull. glides right through seasoned hardwoods. worth having a couple for back up.

So far the only negative thing I found is it too noisy in my backpack. Time will tell how well its construction holds up to my demands. Most of the wood I cut is oak and maple while backpacking up Centerville Canyon in Utah. Prefer pine but what the hell.

This large bow-saw blade is very sharp and quick cutting. I have a number of trees around which can drop big branches when there's a gale. This blade is so good at cutting through thick timber that it becomes easy, although the blade can wander off-line somewhat on the thickest branches. That doesn't bother me as I'm only cutting to get rid of the wood. If you tried to use them for cutting to a line, then you might have more difficulty.

Bought by mistake. I wanted the 30inch blade. I then had to buy the 36 inch saw and both the saw and blade are excellent. A bit big sometimes for pruning but I also have the small saw.
