Bahco Ergo Big-Mouth Adjustable Wrenches are designed according to Bahco’s Scientific 11-Step Ergonomic Design Program. The wrenches feature extra-wide opening jaws with a shorter handle for maximum access in confined spaces. The head combines slim design for accessibility with strength for performance. The jaw does not fall out even at maximum opening of the wrench. The Ergonomically designed thermoplastic elastomer handle distributes pressure uniformly in the hand, reducing the risk for work related injuries. The handle never feels too warm or too cold. Soft, high-friction surface reduces the risk of slipping. This wrench is ideal for plumbers, electricians, and maintenance workers and is perfect for working under the sink, within enclosures, or anywhere that a short handle is needed. Bahco, inventor of the original adjustable wrenches, ergonomics and cutting tools has delivered innovative products for 130 years. In 1886, our iconic Bahco brand was born. Today, it is still a symbol of quality.

i have had this now for about two weeks. i carry it on the job in my pocket. it replaced an abused craftsman 6 inch adjustable. at first i wasnt crazy about it because it is significantly bigger than any other 6 inch adjustable i own and is therefore a bit more cumbersome to carry. however, the jaws slide open and closed so smoothly and i can grab anything that an 8 inch adjustable will grab (it opens to about 1 1/8" or so!) that i am starting to really like this tool. the grip is nice and comfy and the hole in the end is big enough to bend tabs or pins if needed. so far so good.update 12/16/15: this is still a really good adjustable wrench. i keep seeing the reviews comparing it to a crescent. if you have ever actually owned and used a crescent brand adjustable (like industrial use, not used it once to build a plastic cabinet at home), you will be truly impressed with the lack of backlash. however, this is still an adjustable wrench and it DOES have backlash. if you dont want backlash, try using the correct sized wrench/socket.i do have one complaint, though its not a star killer. i got a 6 inch so that i didnt have to lug around an 8 incher. this bahco is just as bulky and heavy, if not more so, than my proto 8" click stop, while not having the leverage of the slightly longer handle. i will probably end up with a 6" click stop soon since if i am at work, i have an adjustable wrench on me...and while the bahco is a great tool and performs well, it is quite beefy for pocket carry. if you carry a pouch or push a tool cart, that wont be an issue and the bahco is worth the weight due to its ruggedness and extra wide jaw.

I love this wrench. I've always carried adjustables with me every day at work as an engineer. I use to carry the crescent brand 10”. It had great leverage and a wider mouth than the 8” or 6” or course. But she was heavy. Last year I started working on a Drill rig and everyone was carrying one of these little guys. They open to 1 5/8” That is massive for an 8” adjustable, and the main reason it’s so great. Also the tips of the flats are only 7/32 thick, you can fit this girl in some pretty tight spots. It’s tough too. I’ve had mine for a year or so and it’s still tight with regular wear, but there are people who have used theirs every day for years out here. Zero machining surfaces left on them, scratched and gouged, size marks worn off, but they still hold even flats and adjust with one thumb. Even the rubber handle, though cut, roughed, and dented is still whole and comfortable. Some of the older ones from 4 years ago and older seem to have “made in Sweden” stamped on them, whereas the newer ones do not. But quality seems the same, and they wear the same. Consistency is alright. We usually order 20 at a time direct, on the rig every few months, they have a tendency to “disappear” Once in a while some flats don’t seem to line up exactly, but has not affected performance of the tool. Just know there is room for improvement there. The one I have ordered from here seems perfectly flat and the same quality as the ones I use at work. Hands down the most affective, versatile adjustable wrench available. I feel I cannot dock a star for the flats, but know if the quality diminished or the consistency falls (are you listening Bahco, or snap on, or whoever the heck deals with quality control for this wrench now) I’ll be back to let everyone know with a vengeance. I hate when good tools go bad because of a fat man in a suit.

I LOVE this wrench. It's the perfect size to carry around in a small pouch that I carry on my belt. I work in a large manufacturing facility and having a small, useful tool kit on my belt is a must. And every tool in it needs to be versatile and accommodate as many situations as possible upon initial response to a repair call. This wrench (and my trusty Knipex (87 01 180 SBA) 7" Cobra Pliers) allow me to take care of about 90% of my calls while out on the floor without having to return to my tool box for more specialized wrenches. It has a large opening for larger bolts/fittings and the jaws are also quite deep. The shorter handle allows tight access and the molded grip is very comfortable to hold. It has markings on both sides (one side is graduated in inches, the other side metric) so if I need a certain socket or a larger wrench the guess work is eliminated when retrieving the correct size. Given their size, it has it's limitations as far as leverage but this is to be expected. They are pretty tough though. If I ever loose or break this wrench, I will promptly buy another to replace it. They have earned their place in my tool belt pouch kit for my always-carried tools around the plant - and I don't give tools a place there unless they are exceptional, functional, and truly worthy.

'HVAC Survival' on youtube is the reason i bought my first bahco adjustable. it's only been a few months but i just bought my third one to replace some of the crappier adjustable wrenches that i've been suffering through for the last ten years of my life without realizing there are better more modern options out there. this is one of those options. if you've been stuck with the ol' standard 10" crescent-style adjustable wrench you really should try one of these out. the steel holds up well to some abuse and i've thrown the three foot cheater on there a couple of times and haven't snapped any jaws yet.yet.

Thin jaws and easy adjustment. I love this wrench. I'd been carrying a Milwaukee adjustable wrench but it was too thick, heavy and it tightened up while using it. I now have this wrench and the thin jaws version and they're both excellent. Bonus: they look like crap tools so nobody wants to steal them 😆

Absolutely love it, fits where big wrenches don't around right clearance hydraulic fittings. Can handle a decent sized breaker bar for doing stupid stuff. Will be buying a few more for when I break this one. It stands up to abuse really well.

The quality of Bahco isn't what it used to be but it's still better than comparatively priced goods, still very good value for reliable kit
