Works great as a fish mouth spreader, but also as a handle on a metal water bottle when you need to put it in a fire to boil water! It will hook just under the lip of most steel water bottles and you can place it in your fire. Once the water is boiling just slide a stick into the circle and lift! Or you can tie a string through the loop and hang it over fire to boil your water to make it safe to drink. Great bush craft item for that outdoor enthusiast/adventurer in you or someone you know!

Purchased this to go with the Pathfinder Bottle for camping trips. Sturdy and will have a lot of uses including fish mouth, holding the bottle and pots, holding soap and cloth for bathing/drying, etc. I like multi-use and it is sturdy. I haven't tested yet but think it will hold my meal pot over a fire too.

Showed up as advertised has a little bit of spring behind it when you go to unclip it I’m very happy with it the ends are sharp if you’re worried about them tape them over or put something over it I bought this tool mainly for when I go pike fishing I have yet to use it but I think it will do the trick and holding the fishes mouth open while I dig out a hook if needed I hope I don’t have to use this but for the price It’s good to have in the fishing collection

These spreaders are really tough and hard to use. Very tough to grip and close with one hand. I do not see my step mother of 74 yro using these the strength it takes to use.
