If you're using an alcohol burner or smaller bunsen burner this may be what you need. The opening is a good size to hold round bottom glassware, or put a screen on top for beakers or flasks.The materials aren't the best. Cheap is a good description, but it is solid and is good enough for a small lab or student.By the way, the first stand sent to me was missing pieces. Amazon came thru and replaced it the next day.Would I buy this again? Meh.
